I've been watching your videos to study how you draw and everything because I aspire to be able to draw like you. So after the sketching, flat colors, shading, highlighting, do you just go over the sketch lines with more flat colors using a solid brush? I have been trying to color over my lines but use a blending brush a lot which doesnt look good at all. Also what size canvas do you usually use? I noticed when I try to draw my art ends up looking like I didnt do detail because its so small. That or the canvas is too small and it looks kinda pixelated.

Aww 🥺💕 I’ll see if I can describe this well!! Okay! So I sketch in usually a warm red/brown color and set that sketch layer to “shade” over my colors before merging the two layers. That way, the lines BURN into the color and the darkest tones are still saturated and warm, and don’t look too muddy when blended out (which is typically what would happen when blending out black and greyer tones in color) after that I just start building up the color and blending and constantly picking up new colors with the color picker to keep my brush strokes not too -blurry- but definitely full of subtle color variation :P

Also work with a canvas of at least 1000x1000 and 250dpi!! ❤️
