Anything with a 80s/90s public access vibe is going to win me over. So great to see Landon! I know how it feels to have a body that never fit the "standard" and it's so hard to not go into hiding. But it's so important for ourselves and other plus sized folks that we wear what we want and take selfies and have days where we feel good. There isn't just one healthy body type and it's delusional to think so. Also "being unhealthy" doesn't mean that you should be disrespected as a person. I'll get off of my soap box now and I hope to see Very Delta continue for many more episodes!

this!!!!! my heavier friends are all healthier than me (I smoke and never exercise) but even if someone is unhealthy, that's not your business? it's just an excuse to judge their body, gtfo with your fake concern trolling. health isn't some prerequisite to basic decency. unless you're their doctor, you have no input on whether someone's weight is healthy. it is. not. relevant. stop mentally judging other people's bodies and lives, just let them be. I can think of two ways this intersects with other discriminations: a) to say that unhealthy people deserve to be treated like shit is fundamentally ableist. even if you're punishing someone for choosing to be unhealthy, it assigns moral value to health and implies that a healthy person is worth more than an unhealthy person. instead, these things are neutral: a healthy and unhealthy person deserve the same respect and treatment, they just have different needs and abilities. as a disabled person, it's horrible to me when someone fat shames because "they choose to be unhealthy." uhhhh, I'm unhealthy every day of my life, that's how my messed up body was built. why is someone not being healthy personally offensive to you? do they matter less if they get sick? does someone deserve to be shamed if their actions get them sick, whereas I'm fine because I didn't choose this? but at the same time, choosing to be like me is so shitty, you go out of your way to criticize someone's body and character? this is the same kind of person that hates it when disabled people need help instead of not letting it beat us 🙄 but also, the unhealthy argument is just code for "I don't like fat people, lose weight for my comfort" b) women's weight is disproportionately policed. women are taught that being small=good, and that their only value is in looks and appealing to partners. I didn't even notice Landon's weight gain tbh, I was like "damn I forgot he had arms like that, Hot" lmao, but gaining weight as a woman is brutal and I have so much empathy for him. so many of us watched our mothers literally starve themselves or talk about how much they hated their bodies, or praise us for being young and skinny. fat women on TV are jokes or villains, almost never the protag or love interest. I think almost every AFAB person has to unpack so much baggage and dysmorphia the first time we really gain weight you wanna see me go off?

This is delightful! So carefree & easy going. 1st time hearing of the MOM network, & the Very Delta show & I got all nostalgic w the perfume discussion. Scent lingers, it intoxicates, or smells like intoxication! The Ross reference? As a gothy teen, I devoured Byzance & Tea Rose. Only could score em @ TJ Maxx or Ross as well. Anyhow Landon Cider is charming, a kind soul, & I saw only season 3 of Dragula & LC, ohh naughty but so nicely done! Definitely looking forward to more Delta. @@dansav2944 I haven't listened to Hot Goss yet, I like Sibling Watchery, but it can be a little redundant because I watch all of the episodes they talk about, watch FPR , and Bootleg. I feel so bad saying it, but I can't stand Sloppy Seconds. I did watch the episodes with Delta, and Jasmine Kennedie, but there were a few times Meatball was too annoying, and I'd hit the little thirty second skip thing a few times to shut her up. I had high hopes for Hall and Closet, but I never finish an episode. To be fair, I skip forward sometimes on Ebony&Irony when Bunny gets on my nerves, but I always listen anyway. Queen of Hearts with Jujubee is decent too, but I don't keep up with it.

One of the best podcasts ever has one of the best drag superstars ever, can't wait until midnight! The only podcasts I like better are Sloppy Seconds and IMHO the Show and a good portion of that is because I've been listening/watching both those for much longer. If Delta keeps this level of quality going for a few years she could end up beating both of the other pods in my book and i know how Delta hangs on my every thought and word, she's like totally obsessed with me. I'd get a restraining order but they don't give those out to gay people in Idaho, something about Jesus and the second amendment crying over spilled lamb's milk. My dream podcast of course would be all five together: Delta Work, Meatball, Big Dipper, Alexis P. Bevels and Darby Lynn Cartwright with Darby hosting only for her to find out it's secretly a roast of her and then the gang roasts Darby for all her "bullying". Meatball will show up armed with a potato gun except she's going to use it to shoot mushy bananas at Darby.

I have definitely realized that my body is a separate entity from my consciousness. It has basic- and high-maintenance needs that I have to take into account in my daily functioning. My body and my soul are symbiots. We help each other to live. I have found if I take a bath right after I get off work, my body is able to release the tension from manual labor. I went on a little 3-4 day bend of not taking a bath after work, and I noticed my mental faculties failing because of it. My body was so tense, I got tension headaches and was unable to function. It took me about a week to figure out it was the baths preventing it. The way you treat your body literally determines your quality of life.
