I love Exposure - the first place I ever performed. Obi and Abie and Tank Boy and Sergio gave me some of the best times of my life. I operated the spotlight on Delta when she did Lana Del Rey in a stunning red gown and I was so mesmerized by her performance as I did my best to keep her stones popping. I'll try to make a long story as short as possible I started working a second job. Mostly out of boredom, anywhoozle the second job is at what they call a travel center but in actuality it's a truck stop. It's a very large clean nice new built truck stop about 30 min from Seattle. Well the beginning of this month the government made it mandatory apparently to scan IDs if anyone is purchasing tobacco or alcohol no matter the age. In fact after I scan tobacco or alcohol my till will not let me proceed until I scan their ID. With any profession you have people that are nice and people that are assholes well maybe there's a higher percentage of assholes that happen to be truckers. I almost believe I'm starting to get PTSD the second I hear a truck driver say that they want some brand of cigarettes or chew. Immediately after they mention what they would like I tell them okay it's going to make me scan your ID it's not because I have a choice in the matter the computer makes me do it otherwise I can't bring it up. Well they a lot of times won't say anything I scan the cigarettes or whatever and tell them okay may I see your ID please that's when they say well I left it in the truck or I don't have it and I repeat I'm sorry I can't do anything about that I have to be able to scan your ID otherwise I can't proceed. They will yell and cuss at me some of the time I'll say to them so why are you screaming at me you do realize I can't do anything about this I don't have that kind of power this will either make them more mad or make them realize how stupid they're acting a lot of the times they'll say I'm never coming back here again the whole time I'm standing there with a smile on my face and I'll say that's awesome you have yourself a great day I think it takes him a second to realize I just said that's awesome to them not coming back LOL
