And she told me her parents hated her, i told her to tell her parents that she was confused and never bring up her orientation to them again. @@Milkman1703 here's some food for thought, and i mean this genuinely, as a child, I had no idea black people existed. because I live in a white country in the middle of europe, I had no idea Muslims or Buddhists existed because I live in a catholic country. But these people exist, and just as that is true, so too is true that non-binary and other queer people exist (please be mindfull when using the umbrella term, it's originally used derogatorily and while it has been reclaimed some of us still do not like it being used) it's just that as time went on and as we grew closer as people and were able to connect, we got the words and ways to express how we feel. so think of it like this,50, 70 years back, a non-bnary person existed, today, a non-bnary person has the terms and education to put a name to what they are experiencing. At a public library, the books could be separated by age, but this was a high school library, so the books are for everyone there. The books in the high school wouldn't have been there if they were way too inappropriate or harsh. People try and ban books no matter the age group. They ban kids' picture books just because of gay penguins (it's called And Tango Makes Three- it's a true story actually). They see one word they don't like, one true fact about the minorities they are trying to eliminate, and they challenge the book. I understand what you mean, but it's a high school library.

2 different schools of thought. My nephew is gay, he's such a sweetie and his parents are so supportive, it doesn't mean it's easy, especially if you live in a small country town. If my kid felt like they were the opposite sex, I think I'd encourage cross-dressing before anything else...I world be extremely worried about them swallowing toxic drugs that would damage their developing body, and extremely worried about hacking into their perfectly healthy body to butcher it and do irreversable damage, we are seeing way too many young people who have had all these drugs and operations, now deciding maybe theyre Not the wrong sex, or their health is so bad, their life is going to be short.!! It's not about sex. I mean, it's just books that have anything lgbt+, a gay romance, a trans character etc, it's not even sexual it's just "these 2 love each other"
