How do you keep your grated potatoes from turning brown while you wait to cook the pancakes? Do you add anything? Your potatoes are so yellow.

Hey dear, I didn't do anything special, usually Yukon gold is what I use. Maybe because I dont let them sit for too long.

'ukrainian dish', my ass. Potato pancakes are popular throughout Europe and if we're talking about Eastern Europe it's more of a belarusian dish.

My grandma is Ukrainian, so am I, so I'm sharing our Ukrainian version. But yes, there's many versions of potato pancakes all across Europe, -it's not just a slavic dish.
