"L brackets " will hold them together.... you can attach them closer towards the back. Not visible in the front.

Use gorilla glue to put them together. Use vice grips to hold them together until they dry. No damage. Use a particle board for the back.

Use wood Glue to stabilize the white shelf before, placing the brown shelf on top, also you can attache by using wood fasteners, brace fasteners, clamping mending plate bracket steel brace, corner brace, heavy duty figure 8 connectors , ..just naming a few . Hope this helps. But make sure you secure your shelf with wood glue before proceeding, saves a lot of trouble, you don’t want it to start to fall apart while trying to attach the shelves. Go. If you do it without the board, use some L shaped brackets on the inside of it to attached the brown shelf to the white one.

Putting a back on one side will make it sturdy. 6 legs instead of 4 will also help. Right side, middle & left side.

Glue it together. Thats how they make larger tops. They glue the pieces together and then they clamp it together until its dry. Polyurethane glue and clamps. Is the glue you need to keep the wood together. It will form a nice tight seal and will hold thru all kinds of weather. Because temps can change indoors as well. I like the 2 pieces on top of one another. This will give you an eclectic unique piece of furniture that no one else has. Just looked online at holly lobby and they didn't show any decorative metal legs or corners but I did see some amazing ones on Amazon

Hey Mrs Angel, I think you could get a piece of ply from home depot for the backing so it can be more sturdy and I like watching Diy TV and always sand the deep or dark woods before painting it white or even spray paint it with more than one coat to get a good success, but I think the other or also right about the way you should glue them after the paint drys . I would put them side by side and use brackets to hold together. Then I would go to the hardware store to find finishing corners and legs and spray them silver.

Angel: The safest way (to assure it doesn’t tip forward) would actually place them side by side. Butting the open end to the side of the brown unit. I buy Sherwin&Williams Paint Samples for my projects at $8.50 each. I also check the Samples table to save even more. Make sure to pick up Primer for the dark unit, that way you paint will match on both painted units. You can also use “L- brackets” to attach the two together with a 1-inch screws, 6 L-Brackets should be sufficient. I used OwnMy 4pcs Metal Furniture Legs Feet, Modern Sofa Cabinet Legs from Amazon at $13.99 for a set of 4.

You need to get some gorilla glue and also some fiber board enough to cover the total of both units when put together. Cover the fiber board to the canvas and then staple the fiber board to the back. You must fasten the cabinets together first. Paint white then attach back with staples or upholstery brads to the back to secure. It will be fabulous!

Use a great wood glue to ensure the wood top stays on. Can also put in some screws from the bottom. As for the legs, I found some AMAZING 150 year old plus legs on etsy for a great price!! If you keep the brown one on top of the white one you can use decorative molding to enhance the beauty of them! To just attach the top brown one to the white one...use gorilla glue and either nails or screws to to the final attachment!

Use some Gorilla Glue and then hold it down with clasp until the glue dries. Use a sheet of wood for the back for a better structure. Cover the back with fabric.

Put boards on either side. you can use 1x2 strips. two per side. Top to bottom. you can use construction adhesive, its much stronger than regular wood glue.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and purchase "L" brackets to hold it together. Attach them towards the back so they are not viable in the front. you can use heavy-duty Installation foam board you can purchase at Home Depot or Lowes. They will cut it to the appropriate size for free upon purchase. I would use a water/stain resistant contact paper that's normally used as wallpaper. a nice metallic silver to coordinate the decorative table legs color. or you can use a thin sheet of plywood instead and paint it white to match the color of the cubic shelf stand. Make sure the scrap wood pieces are not overly worn and in excellent condition. Home Depot and Lowes do sell decorative table legs similar to what you are seeking. They have different styles to choose from. I recommend you visit the store website to see their inventory. I will use the thicker sheet of pre-packaged and cut plywood you purchase to be placed at the bottom as the base for sturdier support. In your awesome video, you stated that you were thinking about adding mirrored facing with the glam crystal knobs. If you are still considering this idea, you can purchase the crystal knobs at Home Goods, Home Depot, and Lowes. I personally used these knobs and used a strong adhesive, E6000 on each mirrored drawer and it looks amazing. You also were considering using the cute baskets you found during dumpster diving, a great find and an awesome idea. If you are going with the farmhouse look, I will spray clear protective high gloss varnish on each basket to give each basket a nice glam shine. You can purchase this spray at Michals or Hobby Lobby. Lowes will cut the mirrors to the appropriate size for free upon purchase. You can also purchase mirrors at Dollar Tree to place inside of each cube shelf to create a display cabinet to showcase your beautiful home decor'. Amazon has beautiful glam table legs to choose from as well. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, your order may or may not arrive at your home in a timely manner before Monday which is your goal to complete your project. Home Depot or Lowes does carry decorative table legs. They vary in prices. You can purchase the decorative water and stain-resistant contact paper at Home Depot and Lowes as well. they have a lot of unique patterns and colors to choose from and reasonably priced. Make sure you reglue in all the of holes that you had to push the cube opening back together yes a L bracket would work great, and make sure you put an attachment on the back to hold it to the wall so it can’t be pull over by the children.

What i would do is add more to make it more sturdy because the book cases are made of plywood .and I would paint the wood to match the color scheme to the book cases and add a piece of wood to the back

Hi u will have to tighten all the screws that are already there and if there are screws in the bottom of the black I wud suggest to replace with longer ones to attach to white also using glue. And perhaps some brackets at the back, I wud buy those packs of 3 wooden legs and use 6 legs on the unit to make it sturdier and not bow in the middle, good luck

Hi Angel! Suggestions only Make sure its sturdy enough to take any amount weight. Has the last thing you want is it to fall apart. Especially after putting so much work into it. It maybe better to fix it to the wall using wall brackets. To make sure it doesn't fall down especially around a toddler safety comes first. It maybe to heavy to take the weight of one another. Angel you can be the judge of that. 🙄😉✌️👍

or have a full length adn wide piece for the back out of wood or the back board then either screw into the back or tack it on. screwing a back piece will make it stronger though. the wood on the top doesnt look the same because its not on the white. its on the black. but if you paint or spray paint the top one all white or the bottom one all black . and the whole unit becomes one colour then the wood top with a coat of wax will look excellant.

I think if you want the wooden board on top and to really get that look then you should only use the white cubes ...I think it’s too tall. I think it will be more stable if you tighten all the screws then you can screw the board into the top (use a drill to start it) then just use a wood filler to cover the screw and you can stain it if you want. I think it will still look great if you can put legs on it!

i have one unit on top of another and my dad bought some meta plates then u screw them onto the back . on the bits that make the cube. so like three or four or more long plates of whatever length u decide. i think mine had fourn inch long thin plates. it is less than an inch wide the strips of metal with screw holes in them. then u get someone to hold onto the back screw a hole then place the screw in and screw in well. u can get special wood screws. and it works great it made the top part adn bottom part less rocky. then he used wall straps to attach to the wall to stop it rom falling forward.

So Angel you don’t have to screw anything just use wood glue to attach them there’s something called liquid nails that you can get from Home Depot or Menards or wherever him and just glue it and after 24 hours of it being together it’s just like it’s nailed together so that would solve your issue.

So... I became a dumpster diver 3 years ago... Why? well, I live on a Military Base bc My husband is Active Duty.... And HOLY SHYT when people PCS they throw away BRAND NEW THINGS... last week I found a BRAND NEW moder highchair... all wood... went on Amazon and it was 400.00... this item was still in the Amazon box... UNOPENED... I didn't know people had it like that?!?! 😂😂😂 I have found beautiful furniture.... Another cool thing I found... My husband has a huge collection of Pez dispensers from when he was little... Well, I found a rubber maid bin FULL of Pez dispensers... We counted 457 Pez dispensers in this bin!!! Its insane!!! I also get pissed bc there are families that could use these items... So, even if I don't need it I will find someone who does... Last week I found a hot pink bike and it just so happens that we have a Civilian family in need... So I cleaned it up and brought to the famia d the little girl was soooo EXCITED!!! ❤❤❤
