The lip stick thing wasn't even a part of AS7, so it doesn't make much sense to pull one out. Why not just lip sync instead of the gimmicks?

Ultimately I do love Jinxx and think based on how she did in the competition she is a worthy winner but they should not have used the words "Lip sync for the crown" or whatever. It was clear from the shady edit that Monet mollywhopped Jinxx and if it was a true lipsync for the win she should have won. I'm sure it is a production thing where for All Stars they are just trying to save some money and get it all shot and over and done with but they should change up the format to be more similar to season 14 where the girls lipsync alone to some music of their choice. In that context sure, I could maybe see Jinxx coming up with something that might beat Monet.

@@thatsseauxnish_ yeah I think Jinxx is a good lipsyncer but for this type of thing Monet is better. It is just sometimes really obvious with the editing when they are running a narrative and this was very much a case of that. But that is why I think All Stars should change the format of the lipsync for the win into something that each of the queens prepare before hand that suits their strengths rather than some random song.

i wouldve been happy with either jinkx or monet winning all stars 7 tbh. like, either way, i would have been fine lmao. we always return to that neverending conversation of monet winning the lipsync but jinkx winning the season, and its always a stalemate. at the end of the day, all the girls are doing well and are successful in their own personal careers and thats all that matters.

You're also making a lot of assumptions about me and what I think... you're implying for example that I discredited Monét's win on All Stars 4 when that isn't true. You're also saying I have a bias, but if anything, I'm biased toward Monét because she's one of my favourite queens, I was rooting for her on every season she's been on, and I'm a Sibling Rivalry patron. All I'm saying was, I was fine with Jinkx or Monét winning. If you're upset about Monét not winning $200,000, I hope you're putting your money where your mouth is and supporting her career.

@R.j🥶 the lipsync before the top 2 lipsync is a very different situation than the finale, the winner is decided with that top 2. Also sasha did essentially equally as well in the competition as shea and deserved the ball over shea, she also did the most iconic lip sync in drag race history, there’s no edit that could save shea from that. At the end of the day Ru decides, and you can’t make that decision. There’s plenty of instances of give and take, not just this generalized implicit bias you’re speaking of (and insinuating that black queens end up with the short end of the stick). Sasha beat shea, but then yvie beat brooke who had a better track record, and jaida beat gigi, willow beat Camden. The semifinal lipsyncs determine the top 2, and the final lip sync doesn’t matter, but we all enjoy seeing it and it’s a nice way to close out a season even if it’s not what determines the winner, there’s no issue with that

Regardless, Ru did mention the final decision to be a culmination of that final lip sync and their performance all season long. Whether or not that stipulation was added in post, as it's been alleged, I think the fans largely agree with the outcome -- and their work overall should be a key factor. That said, the 'lip sync for the crown' label is almost certainly a bit played out. I think a change to the ending format wouldn't be a bad idea; keep the weekly lip syncs, but ditch it or beef it up for the finale.

I love Monet and think she won that lipsync, but I hate when queens do things to sabotage the other queen. Putting her hand in Jinkx's face for "kiss the ring" seemed unsportsmanlike. It gave me Alaska licking Katya. It would really throw me off. She also said she threw her lipstick to her but we didn't see that.

If I was Jinkx, I would have been annoyed and thrown off and that's just not the kind of lip sync I enjoy watching. I still love Monet she is in my top 5 of all time, this just wasn't my favorite moment from her.
