I've watched this over and over since stumbling upon the video a few days ago, and I will probably watch it over and over again. This couple is brilliant, they are so in sync, they just took the jive to a whole new level. I forgot to watch anyone else. It would be great if we knew who they are, if they are still dancing together. Beautiful to watch, would love to see more of them. If they are the winners, they are well deserving of the title. I just absolutely loved their dance.

I used to dance lke that when i was young(except for the kind of line dance steps thrown in. Nice touch there.). We had SO-O much fun. I wanted to be out on that floor with those kids! Except, I'm decrepit now so it's just wishful thinkin. But thanks for the memories. P.S. My McGuire great-great- grandparents came from Ireland in the early 1800's so I'd sure love to visit & meet some of you fun loving ppl. God be with you. Love, from the USA.

I'm a 50s Jiver rather than the Irish style, so I'm curious about the reason for the dislikes. Can someone enlighten me please.

There is no such thing as country jive it's just barn dancing really The real jive is rock n roll not country and western tripe

These are mainly Jive moves with a core 6 beat timing pattern@@LouLou-tl1gv​. Barn dances are pre-choreographed routines usually running on a 4 or 8 beat pattern that follows the music. Country Jive and Western Swing are two different things. I speak as a Rockabilly/Rock n Roll Jiver btw.
