I am 72 years old and just discovered you. I formed a band when I was 13 which lasted until I was 20, ending when I myself spent a year studying at University in Germany. We played nearly all the Beatle songs you have recorded and I felt the joy return instantaneously listening to your covers. It truly brought me to tears. I am a physician at the end of my career but have kept music in my life throughout and love to hear young people recreate the songs and feelings of my youth. You have really captured the joy not just of the Beatles but of music itself. I am now yet another of your passionate fans and followers. Vielen Dank und Viel Erfolg!!! Gerry

I have a bone to pick with you two young ladies!!! I have just spent the best part of a full day trawling your work since something popped up on my FB. I've not had lunch, only had one cup of coffee, not put the trash out and missed an appointment for beer with a friend - and it's all your fault!!! I can't recall the last time i met a youngster (I'm a young 64) who even knew very much about the 6os beat music let alone appreciated it. Yet you whippersnappers have grabbed it by the ears, shaken it down and revived it in your own style without losing the original vibrancy of it one little bit. Throw in your own high quality material into it and it's no wonder that your audience and fan base is so diverse in both age and nationality. RESPECT - I want to mention respect. You exude respect in all manner of ways, to your parents, to one another, your fans and to the original artists. You brighten a dark world and long may it continue. You have me signed up!

I too am 72 and just discovered you. What a wonderful breath of fresh air you are. Because you’re siblings the textures of your voices blend into one. Truly beautiful to hear. Your joy and youthful exuberance comes through in all of your performances. Your musicianship is very competent and skillful. You execute well. The videos I’ve been seeing were from a few years ago, so I hope they are still representative of who you are. Not that it matters, but I was a musician in the industry for 15 years, so what I’m about to say comes from personal experience. I think you’re wise to avoid the major labels. The only thing they can do for you is in mass distribution of product. You seem to be able to do that yourselves albeit on a smaller scale. I sincerely hope you can stay true to yourselves, have fun with it, and stay musicians, and not become “stars.” That is a road that corrupts and destroys. All the best. I’m now a fan.

Oh, my! I discovered you beauties, just some days ago, when I watched a couple of Beatles covers from yours, and went high. As a Beatle fan, since 1963, I really appreciate your performances. Your harmonies are at least as good, as the originals, if not better, as well as the instrumental playing. I can see the same happiness, as the young Beatles radiated. I get goose bumps, from yours. When I see closeups, of your singing, I imagine two beautiful John Lennon sisters by the likeliness of mouths and other mimics. Almost spooky, but I love it. So Please, please me more.. Warm hugs, from an older swedish man.

The reason they are so popular is that the music they play with such love and enthusiasm touches the better angels of the spirit. Their music simply makes you feel good. Remember when music did that, and it's not only in the covers they perform, but also in their original music. And they are correct about the inspirational aspect of their influence. There is a 1970s Magnum acoustic guitar that is being used again for the first time in decades.

I'm new to the MonaLisa Twins, having just discovered them a few days ago by way of a KZbin video recommendation. As a very discriminating music listener, however, I am impressed with what I've seen and heard. These are two beautiful, hardworking and talented young ladies who are headed for greatness. MLT appear to take their responsibilities as musicians and professional performers very seriously (which is more than can be said of a lot of their peers). They also seem to be pushing the creative envelope and advancing their musicianship and songwriting abilities with each passing year, which is vital to lasting success. Moreover, I ❤️ the fact that they both finish the other's sentences in this interview. You can't fake that sort of genuine, heartfelt synchronicity, and they are so much the better for it. Thank you, ladies. I've subscribed to your channel and will continue to follow your achievements. Be well and take care.

I'm 60 and discovered you today. I have been binge watching and binge singing. My bass has even had a workout! Songs I sang as a kid and as a teen all fresh and new again. I notice that in many of your covers, you have inverted the original harmonies; ie, the original melody, you sing up an octave and what was a high harmony is now a low harmony. I found this double fun as it makes it easy for me to follow one of your parts or create another lower part. It really is so good to hear (and join) people who really can sing and sound great without autotune etc. Between you two and Ladysmith Black Mambaso, I have had a blast today! Now for some port to soothe my vocal chords........

Yes! Call what you create masterpieces. They are that. Don't be shy about accepting praise for your truly great revival of what The Beatles meant to popular music. I've heard really good musical analysts as well as famous musicians to follow their lead say that John and Paul (Even George had his moments: My Guitar Gently Weeps, Here Comes the Sun, etc.) In a way you're developmental path paralleled that of John and Paul - growing up with music during the birth of rock and roll, feeling the influence of American jazz and soul sounds brought to Liverpool by sailors visiting New York. I only recently discovered your KZbin channel and I wish I had found it earlier. I adore your sound, both in your originals and your covers of The Beatles and other 'sixties groups. I discovered you a couple months back, and I absolutely love your Beatles repertoire. I love it all, but like so many « older » folks, the Beatles played a big part in my early years. I watched this because I was curious about where you came from and was delighted to hear the Austrian accent (I was expecting English or Scottish). Finally, although I’m a newly retired college professor, I was a working club musician for nearly 20 years and, like you, I had a lot of bad gigs. I loved this interview. Great words of wisdom. I was so surprised that the land where Mozart and so much great classical music came from didn't have open mics and such for modern musicians. I am a female musician, and I have wanted to have a female band to also do classic rock. I just sent them an e-mail from Nashville asking if they've ever done Do it Again by Steeley Dan. Putting Dad on keyboard and Lisa could slay it on guitar. Mona would lay down multiple tracks and back up vocals as she does so brilliantly. I can hear it imaginatively...that would be unbelievable. I really like all of their original music as most times the quality of tribute bands is amateurish when they try writing originals, even by really good singers and musicians because they don't have the skills. They only mimic...but NOT the case with MLT. Mona and Lisa even make a lot of covers better than the originals. Its that "it factor". They've got it in spades. And adorable to watch whether live or video studio or on a radio interview. Mona never misses a beat and Lisa is a Virtuoso. Love love love em!!

Great interview. Love hearing about your back round. I also love how you keep in touch with fans by news letters and Q &A videos among other things. Also, it will be great when your new album is ready for sale. Been waiting for that. All the best in the future.

"I think that's success"! So wise. I was a teen in the 1960's, and despite all the negative we still have, the fact that your story is applauded as inspiring, gutsy, smart (rightly) today whereas in the '60s it would have been roundly criticised as non-conformist, anti-social or whatever indicates there has been some advancement of improvement. Keep the fist up, or whatever is your appropriate metaphors. 👍👍🇨🇦

Hi girls, I love how you do these interviews and the Question/answer clips, its good seeing that you care for your fans enough to do it, So many "stars" seem to take the fans for granted, Its a great way to learn more about you. I want to thank your Dad so much for all the work he must have put (and continues to) into your careers. You and US fans were so lucky you had a Dad in the music business, without him, there is the possibility that you may never have gotten interested in music, never mind making such good job of doing what you obviously love, and that would have been a great loss. As a big fan of the Beatles myself I can only imagine how excited you must have been to get the residency at the Cavern Club, and then to get the chance to go into Apple Studios to do some recording ... WOW I wish you every success with your own music but please continue putting out covers of 60's bands, you do them so well. And its great hearing your songs and watching how you some times put a bit of fun into your clips, love it

Hi Mona, hi Lisa :-) I already knew most of what's in this video but I still enjoyed it, especially the footage that I hadn't seen before, it being particularly nice to see your grandma. I know I've told you this before, but listening to talk about what motivated you and inspired you reminds me so much of myself (except that I never pursued music as a career). I was in exactly the same position where my musical tastes didn't match those of my friends at school or what was aimed at my generation. And when I got started with playing and writing, I had exactly the same outlook as yourselves, that I wanted to model my music on those who had inspired me and to recreate those sounds in what I was writing and playing (with me it was the Hollies and E.L.O. more than anything). I could listen to you talking about this stuff for hours (22:46 will do for now...) because, for me, the background, inspiration and motivation is just as critical as the music itself and I never tire of talking, analysing, hearing and thinking about all that stuff, as you'll know from some of my looooooong e-mails! lol! :-p I hope you're all doing well. Hopefully I'll get to see you again soon. :-)

Oh, thank goodness! I was beginning to wonder when I would see anything new from you. It is good to see that you've been busy working and I am looking forward to seeing more.

If you subscribe to their page on Facebook, you will be able to see regular updates about what's happening with MLT, even in periods of time when no new videos are being uploaded here (and I suspect there won't be many of those, if any, in the next few months, while the new album is produced)...
