Monami Pen Haul: Are Monami brush pens as good as Monami Plus Pen 3000??

I have the Live Color dual markers - I love them. Been using them for quite a while and they are very nice. I like my Monami Plus Pen 3000 too.

Hi Sarah! I found your channel recently and now am just starting to learn hand lettering so your videos have been very helpful! I was wondering if you could review the Artline supreme brush pens (they're thinner and longer than the Artline supreme brush markers) and Artline Decorite collection brush pens, I've seen them around in stationary stores around here and would love to hear your opinion on them! The brush tip so fleksible, i think it would be more difficult to control, but monami can make good downstroke 👍

Thanks for showing us the other Monami pens. I have the 3000s and love them, but only really as fineliners, although I've done a little bit of small brush lettering with them. Just wanted to say that I've just got your book and really loving it ❤❤ PS: where did you get that colour set of the twin tips? Can't find them anywhere!

I was a bit disappointed in the twin tone TomBow brush pens🙁They frayed a lot. For the price I didn’t think it was worth it, and I brought all packs/colors. This was way before they became available in Walmart. The Crayola Markers & Sharpie brush pens help up better than those. The only issue is the shadowing. My personal preference so far has been the 3000 & the Zig brush pens.

if i was planing to buy a set of small brush pens, would you recommend either the monami plus pens 3000 or the small pentel touch brush pens? i’ve been looking at both but i’m still not sure which ones i should go for

Buy the pentels. Much easier to control than the Monami. Just my opinion of course, but having both I much prefer the Pentel over Monami for lettering.

The Pentel are designed for brush lettering and will give you more contrast between thick and thin lines. They produce a larger stroke than the Monami. The Monami have a very fine upstroke, but I’ve found I really have to bear down hard to get width in the downstroke. I do use the Monami when I want to write a quote in very small letters, such as in my journal. I wish Pentel would make a smaller version of the Touch brush pen!

Hello Sarah! I really love your channel amd your tips are very helpful. I have a question of something that has been bothering me for a while. It is about the pentel fude touch brush pens and I do not know if they are frayed or not, because some of them seem a little less crisp than the others (I have the new colors). I have been using them on Rhodia dot grid paper. Can you please help me?

The pentel ones do not fray but there might be some colors that are broken in as in they are softer That could be cuz u use them more than some others This is natural and happen to all small brush pens The paper will not affect this Ur welcome 😊
