I am from Alaska and I just skied Monarch ski area yesterday. They just got 7 inches of powder and it snowed the rest of the day. It was the best snow I've ever skied! I never knew the Rocky Mountain powder could be so light and fluffy! Had it not been for this video I would've never tried out Monarch. Thank you thank you!

I absolutely love Monarch.. I drive from Colorado Springs.. Such a beautiful trip.. Great prices, and awesome runs, short but so sweet. I have the best time every time I go. Real snow, and no crowds.. Cool video too thanks for sharing.

Make the hike up to Mirkwood bowl, it is totally worth it. fresh powder, trees, cliffs, and endless untouched lines. The hike is tough, but 100% worth it.

My favorite area in Colorado and that I’ve skied for that matter. Thanks for the secret stashes to! My advice for this place to head there with some buddies and ski anything that looks fun, no plan just wing it.

I agree with everything you said. I was so lucky to have learned how to ski at monarch. Their season pass is crazy cheap and has a ton of free days at other resorts. You forgot to mention it's 100% natural powder!

I have actually been to monarch this year after my dad talked about it and in the Midwest, the big hill to talk about is Granite Peak with about 700 vertical. I'm comparing the two places becaus e they both have loooooong cruisers. Little Mo for example, I found to be not too crowded since the crowd hits the park and you could just cruise there all day.

@miggetymike1 Hey! Sorry, yes, the all natural snow is so cool! You don't realize how much difference it makes till you ski there regularly and the go somewhere else. The pass is cheap but it's been a skinny winter so far - pray of snow! Thx

I don't know yet - thought I was going to get up there this year but the year slipped on by. I do want to go check out the Chicago Ridge Snowcat operation and all the hike to skiing - I love the old school places with a lot of ski history. What's your take? Thx.
