Began tuning into your content in 2021 during my OET prep, developed a fondness for the UK, and currently making the move for my first NHS job ❤

For the public transport part- I’d say it’s more appropriate for London ( or bigger cities per se) I’ve worked as a doctor in smaller towns as well and it is horrible ! Mainly have to call a cab for most of the things ( including grocery shopping !)

Hey Monisha , these were EXACTLY my reasons as well . Healthcare is not perfect anywhere, we should choose a system that makes sense to us .

1. Residency training - Equal opportunity 2. Residency cost - free in Uk 3. Travel time to home and time difference ( between Uk & India) 4. Dependent visa - dependent can work 5&6. ILR/PR - less time to get 7. Salary - higher as a junior doctor 8. Public transport- amazing 9. NHS- free health care 10. Work-Life balance - Much better 11. Travel. Thank you . 🎉

Hi Dr! Thanks a lot for inspiring the young ones like us. I watched your video about the failures you encountered before becoming a doctor and i knew i wasn't alone. I am currently in medical school where I have failed a lot to the extent where I'm about to be kicked out of school. I feel I'm a financial burden on my family and I'm afraid if I fail again, they will stop supporting me financially. I know people get help at one point in therir lives and that nobody is self made and that we are all brothers and sisters regardless of our ethnicity. Please I need your financial support. It doesn't have to be on a regular basis. I also want us to be friends too and would like to please you with my academic result. I used to be an A student but never imagined I would be in this situation. Thanks a lot as I await your reply.

But dr one genuine question i have watched videos where ppl say that ur parents can permanently live in the us if u have the green card which in uk they cant i just want to know is it really true cuz not many ppl talk about the same
@nikhilmishra2425 Жыл бұрын
In the past, certainly, but not at this time. Your parents' ability to settle in the UK is severely limited, if not impossible, due to the anti-immigration stance of the UK government. Whereas, in the USA, to the best of my knowledge, you can sponsor a close family member's green card once you have your own.

@@itzzmesrijan After a lot of research and commitment, I chose the UK, as I wanted surgical branch anyway, which is very hard to get in the USA unless you are ready to do a lot of hard work and also to spend a lot, and investing another couple of years in research elective is impossible, I come from a middle class family, and even considering preparing and going through usmle is financially not viable for me during med school.
