Nice Captain Gid. I could never solve like this though. I guess you do acrosses only on Monday to make it more challenging - I would never have the patience. :) good job

Hey thanks! Actually, it's my default pattern to just cycle through the clues in sequence. I keep intending to alter my method to check the intersecting ones after each solved clue, but I'm a creature of habit 🤷‍♂️

@@captaingid sure. when my Dad got me started on The NY Times crossword decades ago when I was a kid, he'd let me fill in what I could but he absolutely disallowed any entry without at least one letter going the other way - to "anchor" it. Even if I was "sure" of it. So thats how I got used to doing it, I generally do hard copy in pen so that minimizes making a mess too... :)
