Your Layer Cake Lily blocks are pretty. I noticed you are making each block with only one color instead of scrappy. I love that Fat Quarter Shop offers so many free patterns for us as some of us can't afford to go buy books in order to do a sew along.

It's sad that the one is so light weight but maybe can be used as backing on wall hangings something that's not laundered too often? Have a great day. I have 2 blocks to finish before I can sew my sew along together . I had piles of scraps I was using and it was driving me insane so I had to finish up quickly. I bought a bundle from Marshals dry goods once and I didn’t like the quality of the fabric and I’m not that picky so I haven’t been back. Connecting threads is having 20% site wide until tomorrow you might get some wide backs there and they sell by the quarter yard so you don’t need to round up to 3 yards.

Hi Sheri, I downloaded layer cake lily pattern after you featured it. Your blocks look great. I’m going to try it on fabric that I have called Carolina Lilies from Robin Pickens. The big size makes easy to do table topper, pillows and placemats. I’m glad you talked about the MDG wide backings. Have been wondering about their quality for quite a while. Afraid of them being papery feeling and a loose weave. I usually find the private label fabrics to be thinner. Glad to know that one of them doesn’t feel that way because I like the variety of prints they have. Is that Queen’s line a digital or screen print? Enjoy all 3 of your videos during the week. Enjoy seeing Blue once in a while too.

I believe the Queen’s Garden is digital because I don’t see a color registration on the selvage. I think that’s how you can tell.

I love fairy frost. Micheal Miller. I have some left. I had lots of colors. I did not like the fairy frost with the glitter which comes off.
