What I would do with that journal kit would be to print all of the pictures of the quilts I have made, the date I made each one and who it was for. Then I could get all those pictures off my phone and free up some space.

I hear ya! we had our first snow in North Dakota about 3 weeks ago, light snow at night that is thankfully not sticking much yet. Got my moose and 3 deer for fall in the freezer, winter can come ! lol

Oh, those index sticker tabs look like spools of colorful thread. This is going to be great fun. The sewing of the pages together took me back to when I was a legal secretary. We would sew the typed pages together with legal tape just the same way. Sealed together with two little red sticky circles on the ends. That’s where the saying “so much legal tape”. Wow. I’d forgotten I used to do that. Wills too were sewn the same way 😀

I, too, was a Legal Secretary (U.K. 1960s) and enjoyed sewing the typewritten documents. The tape as well as the seals was red - “Red tape”. A bygone era !

Your kit reminds me of an old Girl Scouts project we made from used holiday cards, and gifted to residents at a Senior Citizens home. One of the Dads punched all the holes and we used twine from a local bakery! Fond memories. I just love your channel and crafty vids! Happy Autumn!

The beautiful mailing envelope would make a great junk journal cover! The pink and white bags folded in half can be used as pages as well to hold ephemera, small journaling book, etc.

It's called Crop a Dile instead of Crocodile b/c it was originally for scrapbooking, which is also known as cropping (presumably from cropping photographs to fit them onto pages)

as this was so labour intensive and took Anna, Rita and me days to put together - this means there are not many! Punching those holes though so many pages was quite a mission! still not recovered! ha ha! xxx

I like your idea of putting together a journal kit. But was amazed to see you using the Big Shot to make the eyelet setter to make the holes for the phamplet stitches. I've been using an awl it makes untidy holes that sort of close up making it difficult to get the needle through. I'm nearing the end of my second year of making my monthly journals. I've just got December to do..

oh what a lovely question! the music we choose for these videos has to be royalty free for copyright reasons and we use a music subscription called Epidemic Sound, but when I'm here on my own I have a very eclectic mix I love to listen to - just now it Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon! but movie soundtracks, easy 60's and 70's pop - the Kinks, Beatles, so many and relaxing classical music - I love it all! xxxxKate
