Why do Wings and Jungle comics always seem faded no matter the grade?

We discussed this. It was due to Fiction House being cheap about the inks they used. They wouldn't replace the reds used during printing despite low link levels. Thus when the reds ran out you would get more orange or yellow looking covers.

Not all of them are faded, but it seems that CGC doesn't consider color wash to be a defect.
