I appreciate your courage in sharing your skills, your thoughts, your experience-and especially your mistakes! Every time you do, I’m reminded that we’re all imperfect, and I feel more comfortable and confident, too. Podcasts are fun for me because they are so real, so thank you for being really real with us. ❤

Thank you for the shout-out Marlene! That monday sweater looks gorgeous on you, and will probably inspire many knitters to use hand-dyed yarns for garments. I really enjoyed this longer episode, I got some progress on my Lento while watching you. I loved the amount of detail you went into for your thought processes about pattern modifications and yarn choices, don't change anything about your podcasts ♥ Also glad you are feeling better!

When a hat pattern asks to finish that way, I will go through the final stitches twice with the tail to thicken it up. If it still looks gapey I then duplicate stitch the last few stitches. This is really helpful when you need to add a pompom because the fabric needs to be rather sturdy in that spot to support it.

I just wanted to say how much i enjoy your videos. You have such a calm voice and after discovering your channel a few days ago i have been watching while knitting. As for the block and stash video. I’d love to see that. I’m just recently getting back into knitting so am looking for tips/tricks from more experienced knitters. Xxx

The light gave this podcast such dreamy vibes, I actually loved it! Also love your new Color combo for the festival sweater - I always get a bit frustrated when I envision a project or a Color combo and it doesn’t work out but ultimately, changing it to something more suitable always results in a better project 😊 while watching your podcast, I was redoing the ribbing to a vest I cast off this past weekend and it was nice to have such lovely company.

Love this long episode! The lighting didn't bother me at all it seems like it was lovely weather!😊 I'm gonna look in to the cast on you used on the beautifull socks, I have some men in my family who I've knitted socks for, but those socks could have had a more stretchy cast on. I worked on my zipper sweater while whatching this, really enjoyed my knitting time with you😊

Another lovely episode! Your presence is so very calming and I love sitting here and knitting while watching your podcast. 🍵🧶 Glad that our voting on the next cast-on led you to feel your own feelings about them more! I do agree on almond being the more fitting colour than marsipan. The swatch seemed a bit washed out, but that could also be due to lightning etc. And also your Lento is looking lovely. I love long episodes as well. I'm looking forward to a stash and block video of you. ✨ Absolutely with you on the double knit / folded crew neck collar, but I LOVE a provisional cast-on, crochet cast-on, tubular cast-on/bind-off etc. I use them even on things that call for a long-tail or other :D Have you ever tried knitting sleeves or socks two-at-a-time? If so what do you think about that? I'd be really interested in your opinion. I've tried that recently and it seems slower but in the end I have two objects finished at the same time and I've done the same things in the same rows. Congratulations to the winner, and finally thank you for the episode as well as both of the video recommendations 🥰

hey katharina, thank you for taking the time and writing out such a thoughtful comment! :) i’ll have to look into knitting sock two-at-a-time but also I‘m quite happy with my process like it is now! i also love the look of tubular cast on and bind off and do it all the time, when it’s going to be visible :)

Hi Marlene, Ich mag deinen Podcast sehr!

@@marleneknits thank you I was just curious about them as I’d never heard of them. I have a selection of knitpro with ChiaGoo for magic loop for socks and Hiyahiya sharps for socks as well. My favourite knitpro have been novametal but I’ve just tried mindful and they’re just a bit sharper. As gif the wooden ones I like the Basix wood
