Man, I should probably thank you, every time I need help, film riot seems to have the answer. I've been thinking about how when I started I definably didn't know as much as I know now. MOWB being my first film, I feel I wish I could go back in time to re do it, I don't want to work backwards, but I want to have made it with the knowledge I now have. But listening to you talk here reminded me, and put me as ease.

Dear Ry, I am about to be part of a crew that will shot a ficture lenght film. Its my first time and I will be 1st AD. I have some experience in comercials but it is the first time working 6 days a week for two months. I am afraid to run out of energy too soon. Personally I wouldn't worry about getting money yet because if you're young and inexperienced no one's going to hand it to you. I'm only 19 myself but I got into film work about 5 years ago and I remember seeing the more expensive equipment then and thinking wow, I'll never get that. But the truth is that it all comes with experience. Over the last 6 months I've spent almost $5k on new equipment with money I earned myself through jobs and it's been fun playing with the new toys. As for what I'd do if I were you, I'd look up some short stories online then write the scripts to them and shoot it. You'll be surprised just how much you can learn from this.

Chapman! It's expensive but super awesome. I know many people who loved it there, and I just sent in my application earlier this month ^-^ Art Center Pasadena is also supposed to be excellent, but it is also very pricey and a bit small for my taste. I'm not from California, so I don't know much about cheaper lesser-known colleges. Anyways, the most important thing is the effort and passion that you put in to your work wherever you end up. Might I also suggest looking into SCAD? It's in Georgia and they have a pretty snazzy film program.
