RC ship building takes time, weeks, months, a couple of years sometimes if you don't get after it. It's cool when they are done, and its time to start another. Working on a Springer tug right now. Cheers.

I got it from a local dealer in Flensburg, Germany. Actually its a Robbe rudder which sadle isn't in the business any longer

Nice Work! may i ask where to buy this stuff to assemble, and how much? i really appriciate if you tell me. I love doing things like this, its a great bonding building like this with my son.

I buy the parts from several different locations. The bondo filler is actually from an auto parts store, the glue is from my local german hobby store. Some of the mechnial parts are from eBay....the best parts is actually from Robbe and Graupner....once fitted, they last a lifetime without service like the rudder and its fittings. Robbe and Graupner has their own homepage, where you can find all the parts you need. The propeller is from Krick, also a german R/C supplier with an excelent homepage

The kit from Deans Marine contians many parts, but I few of them will be upgraded by other parts which I known will perform better. No I will not sell any finished products. This is purely video for the enthuast model ship builder how thing can be made, or the way I have chosen. Soon I will post more videos of the Lis Terkol....and for my next project I am planning to make a 3D printed model made in Autodesk Inventor :)

Hello, what for a motor have you used? I'm building the 1.7m long container ship with 1 propeller shaft (4mm diameter). Is it needed to tilt down the shaft down as you did or it is possible to mount the shaft also straight? Thanx for answer to my 2 questions... 🙂

I use a Speed 800 motor. I believe a Speed 600 could also do it because a Tanker should be kind a slow. You can chose any angle you prefer for the shaft that doesnt matter. Best if you can do it straight and avoid the coupling, then less energy is lost

@@MaxSupercars just that the bow wont dive so much deeper into the water at high speed if you have the prop shaft parallel to the waterline. But for a 1.7m its only a principle discussion. So I would do what ever I feel comfortable with.

Bad deans kits what idiot though that supporting a rudder tube which will be under tension and forces using plastic card superglued to brass and fibreglass, honestly what butchery is this.... a solid wood block drilled for the shaft tube and epoxied in place would have be far superior and vastly quicker.

This is kind of a frightening old video if you enjoy model making. I would recommend as an overview of the kit, but what's being done to it, wow.

English isn't my 1. language. But my next video will contain English voice and no text. I will not upload it before I completed the build, but today it's 80% done.It will how ever be English with Danish dialect and some missing words...so let see how it will be accepted :-)
