I agree, like if it was in the 6 inch scale, I might get it, but the only 1/6 scale figures I can see myself getting are hot toys, and those are like $300.

I prefer to look at Mondo's offerings as more akin to poseable statues, which I'd much rather buy than, say, Diamond Select's TAS Venom bust, which is stuck in a pose where he's looking at the ceiling.

The price is rough, but Spidey TAS defined my childhood, so I'll bite the bullet and put down a preorder. I'm hoping that we'll get a Venom sooner rather than later.

Venom has already been confirmed and shown off at SDCC (along with black suit spider-man) so will most likely be the next figure released

When you make a "Spiderman" figure, the #1 expectation is "how poseable he will be". Being a an almost static figure, ks already a dead sentence

The 2nd head is inspired by the art on the logo (the one where he's crouching over the logo). The regular head is inspired by the actual show Also, no thigh swivel will make this very hard to pose, that's why they twist the feet, so it can stand on a wider stance. The neck and head joints may give him a good head and neck range, but that depends if they do it like hasbro (double ball sitting way too low and single ball with the ball sticking out of the neck)

As someone who collects almost exclusively Hot Toys... I have one Mondo figure and I hate how limited the articulation is. Exposed joints, but for what? I couldn't even get the Doom Slayer in the standing position they had on the box art. Couldn't even do a standing position.... Wtf

The only Spidey I'll ever need in 1/6 scale is the old Legends classic version. Besides, I think this one costs about twice as much as it should.

My opinion is that for what they are Mondo figures are extremely overpriced. Sure they’re less than Hot Toys or other sixth scale companies, but at the same time they give off vibes of oversized Marvel Legends/DC Multiverse type figures. No real soft goods, exposed joints, etc. I’d rather just put money towards the smaller scale stuff or get Hot Toys. I have a pretty large sixth scale collection too so I’m used to higher price points but just don’t feel Mondo figures are worth it.

When posed it looks pretty good, but when standing at attention the body proportions look quite odd.

7:32 "It kinda reminds me of the Wolverine popcorn bucket." 👍🤣👍 I also think the neck is to long, arms too short and also the calves/shins too thick. I don't mind the big wrist/ankle joints. (They look sturdy, 😁but yeah, they could have done better.). Too bad they ruined that beautiful Peter Parker head sculpt with that horrible/ridiculous shading. (The body is ok, though.) Like others have said, it would make a good 6" figure and who would pay $220-$$240 for a plastic 12" figure with poor articulation, when you can spend $100 more and get something decent. All in all they did do a good job capturing the likeness of this beloved iconic animated character/series. You can instantly tell what it is just by looking at it.

I was excited when I heard Mondo was doing animated Spider-Man since they did an awesome job with X-men. But when I seen that Venom it just doesn’t do it for me and bums me out. 😢

I think they should reduce the price down cause some of the pictures they have shown the articulation in this it looks not good and paying 200.USD$ for this figure is a lot because seeing the photos they have limited articulation in them and some of those poses are alright but I won’t talk that much since it’s a new product

Neck is long as F..joints on ankles and wrists are horrible..for $220 I'd save some more money and buy a Hot Toys Spider-Man.

i know cartoon spider-man was a buff cake, but this doesnt LOOK like it. even the head has the wrong shape. just use the lizard first ep as reference ! after that the animation quality is not mantained.

Spidey shooting ropes. lol I personally hate cell shading. If you like to take photos of your figures, are you supposed to shoot from only one side?? Hard pass for me.
