I like that Goten and Trunks are learning what it’s like to be in the shoes of the person who has to sacrifice. They’ll still be goofy when they come out of there but hopefully they’ll have a new level of maturity.

The best part about this series is that it has everyone in the cast, stepping into new territory, and most importantly not depending on Goku. It feels like the Namek saga in Dragon Ball Z where Krillin and Gohan were fighting for their lives since the moment they stepped on Namek.

I think the problem with other characters is that they can’t maintain it. They’re only training now because they have to, once the war is over they’ll probably go back to being lazy and useless. The idea of this story is great but can it be maintained after the war is over is the question

Goku is the only reason I watch or read the anime or manga anyway, my solution to characters like krillin or Goten and trunks and the other useless characters is to get there own manga, let’s see how many people are actually interested in them. Have someone write great stories about them, like they do for Naruto’s characters, and we can hope it’s better than the trash super is putting out.

If your power isn't needed during times of peace, then it's actually more useless to have all that godly strength most of the time with the exception of spaced-out world ending events. Krillin barely uses his "power" as an officer. Videl cud take out most criminals in the db verse. I'd just like the hybrids to train at least moderately since they have other things they enjoy doing. It'll make the power-jumps feel less plot-induced. Goku n Vegeta don't hav fulltime jobs so of course they're gonna spend most of their time training.

Dragon Ball Kakumei just exceeds expectations at this point. Goten and Trunks got SSG but they're still not freaking ready yet that's amazing.
