And Once in a long while If something comes your way You can wash it down the drain Or make it your own Don't waste it Don't throw it away! If the chemistry is right If the chemistry is there If the chemistry is right If the chemistry is there You sit and wait You stay at home You hesitate you End up alone but Once in a long while If something comes your way You can wash it down the drain Or make it your own Don't waste it Don't throw it away! If the chemistry is right If the chemistry is there If the chemistry is right If the chemistry is there... Once in a long while If something comes your way You can wash it down the drain Or make it your own Don't waste it Don't throw it away! Just heard this for the first time. Love the intro, sounds a bit like something Shakatak might have come up with - (slightly Night Birds-esque). I can imagine the whole thing being produced by someone like Nile Rodgers and being a massive worldwide hit, with a slightly faster pace. Also, the chorus slightly reminds me of early Simple Minds, or maybe even Hall & Oates.
