I'm actually kinda glad youre not heading to fontaine yet. It certainly wouldnt be a huge loss if you did, but my favourite thing about your videos is watching you naturally react to the journey as it comes. Of course, rn most of genshins playerbase is in fontaine, so its all most people want to talk about, but personally i think the game has a greater impact (😉) when you take your time and let yourself get attatched to these places and characters

just to clear something up: story quests are for 5 star characters. hangout events are for 4 star characters. not all characters have them and it doesn’t matter if you have the character or not. Mondstat is the only region that automatically unlocks story quests for you. you can unlock other by doing commissions and getting keys which you use to unlock whatever story quest or hangout you want hope this helps!

The Cat's Tail is one of the taverns. It's near Kathryne, right above her on the path. There's cats near the door. Players can go inside! (Idk if you've unlocked it yet though) but the inside is cat themed! Edit: it looks like if you aren't able to go in now, it'll unlock after the Battlefield of Dice, Cats, and Cards quest

2:09 As somebody pointed out in another comment, artifacts main stats are under it's name. So here, you can see under "Goblet of Sojourner" - the name of the cup for this set, there's "Anemo Dmg Bonus 11.2%". Goblet of Eonothem between the two just signifies that it's indeed a goblet piece (the name itself might have lore relevance but for now it's only theories) 2:17 Tbh, in case of these early artifacts, you would probably feed them for 4* and 5* later on, so you'll probably un-lock them sometime in the future. But if you don't believe yourself to NOT feed them accidentally, then keep them locked for now 2:50 ain't no way you just did that lol (you put flute instead of sac sword accidentally) 3:06 iirc, there's truly only 1 unique sword that you get only once and never again, but it's in liyue from one of dialogue options. Others might only drop from chests but still, you would find them. Also, just personally, i keep 3 copies of each 3* weapon just in case, bc they could be useful (though, since i play from basically the start of the game, i r5 them) 3:28 Nope, you can unlock literally every story quest, which is great, bc it means you're not locked from interesting stories by gacha. And recent updates made it so you can unlock story quest without accepting right away, so by navigating into quest menu (j) and, iirc, pressing at the bottom left button there, you would be able to unlock story quests from the list there. I don't know if it's a function that already available to you or if you need to complete some quests before that though. You would also find hangouts there, which are more like dating quests for 4* characters with multiple endings, similar to visual novel style. Some early ones are a bit dull, but more recent ones are actually on par if not better than some story quests 5:51 Basically another tavern in Mondstadt, kinda a competitor to Angel's Share. Diona works there (don't remember if you seen/tried her trial yet). It's opposite of Marjorie's souvenir shop where you spend anemo sigils. You just have to hope you will get him and not one of the other 6 standard characters. There are people who played for 3 years and still don't have him God, haven't written these essays in a while Also, if you want more story on mond and characters, you could read the genshin manga, since you finished the AQ. At least the prologue chapter. Everything else has some ties to Sumeru story (or character to be specific) but also gives Mond characters more depths, so it's up to you if you wanna read it now or before starting Sumeru AQ (it's all prologue stuff anyway, so not real spoilers). Though, just heads up, i think the official site doesn't have all the chapters for some reason, so you would need to look for a couple of the last ones on another site. But i'm sure there will be people to recommend the good sites or you can just google "Genshin manga" and probably find one yourself too

Has been great, reading in and writing down the lore as always. Also for languages, to be specific: There's the base Teyvatian Script which is, again, used primarily in Mond + liyue but also a base for most other scripts; Liyue's own script is basically Chinese so there's no ENG translation but it also doesn't appear as much; Inazuma script is inspired by Japanese hiragana; Sumeru has 2 scripts, the main one (rainforest), inspired by Devanagari, and second one (desert), inspired by Egyptian hieroglyphs; Fontaine has 1 script as of yet but that can change in the coming year; And lastly but very importantly, there's Latin-Based Language which is used for a lot of lore heavy texts. Of course, these are only the main scripts, there are some others that appeared once or twice but they're usually not as important and more for atmospheric reasons. And as for Diluc, while yes, you always have a chance of getting him, it's never going to be a guarantee like event banners. So there's also a chance of never getting him (for example, as much as people hate Qiqi, i never gotten her in 3 years, so yeah) Oh, and for Hilichurl stuff, if you picked up everything in Jean's office and library, you should have all 4 volumes of Hilichurl Cultural Customs in your Archive>books, in case you do wanna read that. But as for their language, it is more word based than script, so most words we either learned by observing in quests and stuff or from Hilichurl Ballad Selection (a book that you also could have gotten in your archive i think, volume 1 was in the library and vol 2 should have been given out by Ella Musk if you asked her "Who are you?" dialogue option). But if you really-really want to delve into it, Fandom wiki has a giant page about Hilichurlian with all the words we know and pronunciation and stuff. From a quick look, that page doesn't seem to have any spoilers either.

The same applies for 4*s as well,it is a 50%/25%/25% split, you have a 50% chance to get the 4*s on the limited(AKA "rate-up-banner") banner, 25% chance of getting one from the weapon banner and a 25% chance of getting one from the standard banner. And also IF you get a 5* which is not on the limited banner your next 5* is guaranteed to be the 5* which is on the banner.

you'll see a huge improvement in damage if you add use ATK% artifacts for the sands of eon and circlet to all your damage dealers. you should make sure all of your characters have their DMG bonus goblet as their element. for example, give freminet a cryo dmg bonus goblet if you have one. for traveler, use anemo dmg bonus. barbara should have hp% on pretty much everything but then healing bonus for her goblet.

This is coming from someone who has played the entirety of genshin multiple times from the start - the immersion break is funner than gated exploration. That is to say, in my opinion I think you'd enjoy it much more if you let your side quests/exploration run wild and explore the other nations without thinking too much about it. My first time playing genshin was unconventional, as I entered dragonspine before finishing Liyue, and damn was it fun! This is just my 2 cents though, genshin is an exploration game and the mainline story is pretty men at the beginning so new fun stuff in my opinion makes for interesting content!

Worst case scenario if you exclude the first purchase bonus double Genesis Crystals (they convert 1:1 to Primogems), and end up needing to buy up to the full 90 Pitty for a 5-Star, it ends up costing about $223 from buying three $99.99 packs for a standard 5-Star if unlucky, or double that to get to 90 Pitty again for the limited time 5-Star. Absurdly expensive in my opinion. And then there are constellations, for those who want to max them out would require another 6 copies of the character.

Oh, just in case you want to experience Fontaine kind of the way it was intended, I recommend the waypoint in the Sumeru Desert. It's right next to where you a nice view of the starting area of Fontaine and that was the first waypoint that unlocked back when Fontaine dropped. The devs gave Fontaine a whole little intro segment. The other waypoints would drop you off in the newer parts of Fontaine.

The third/now second story quest is Xiangling’s. If you want to do Monstadt’s story quest etc first I Recommend to do that last. 😅 There’s a part of her story quest where you go into a part of Liyue around Stone Gate.

I would definetly reccomend that you DO NOT go to fontaine. Its a bucket shit ton different from mondstad. I would recommend going by the story even though your characters wont grow as strong that way Ps - later on in the game, it is important your characters do a shit ton of dmg so u kinda have to inter-region travel

This might be an unpopular opinion but idk I think it would be better for Feral do all of the exploring alone. Because you know, when you're with other people you tend to focus on them and I think it might take away from the first experience. But I'd love to see Feral explore Dragonspine(my favorite area btw) regardless of how they want to do it :)

Just a small thing about the situation kaeya and diluc have: Kaeya originally was born in kaenriah and was sent to mondstadt as somewhat of a spy. Dilucs father took him in wich is why Kaeya is considered Dilucs brother. After a while Dilucs father died, from using a delusion (somewhat like Visions, made by the fatui, and they suck your life out of you) and Diluc saw the knights not helping, as a reason to despise them. Furthermore, diluc found out that Kaeya was from kaenriah, wich lead to them getiing into a sword fight and to Kaeya gaining his vision. If i got any details wrong, i apologize, i dont exactly remember all of it so dont take my word that it went exactly like this
