Congratulations! You have started...that's huge! It takes a lot of courage to do so. That's awesome. Seriously. It's such a big step and just think if you stick with it where you could be this time next year compared to the people that want to create a youtube video but are still letting fear stop them. You are on your way! And how cool, you paint rocks! I paint rocks with my kids, but it always washes off and we paint them again the next year...haha. But, changed the niche to beekeeping September 1, 2023. Just never got going before that but, made a few tries. Nothing before September 1, 2023 will count towards monetization.

Yes, I tried opus clips, will need more time to test it though. I just found out from another sub that you can transform your shorts from long format right instide youtube as well. I will look into that as well!

Thank you for the shorts tips. I used the Canva highlights feature today to create my first short. It was relatively quick and easy, but the perfectionist in me edited it for another 45 minutes. 😂

I believe statistics and correlation/causation can help understand what works and what doesn’t or at least give you some ideas. What happened in your channel this past week? Titles, thumbnails, content type, duration, posting time…what other factors should one could focus on in order to find those correlations? Would it be good to have them in a spreadsheet and build a framework around them? Would be nice to know what you think. Keep the good work up!

Ok great questions. I will have to think on this/research for a bit and then create a video about it. I'm copying and pasting this comment into a google doc, so it's top of mind. How do you make a custom subscribe button and if it’s clicked on it does it actually create the sub?

Thanks for your question! Yes it does work and it's easy to create! Follow these steps: Once in "your channel", find the button that says 'customize channel' and select it. It'll bring you to the new channel customization page and tools. On the top menu, select "branding "and go all the way to the bottom to the video watermark. Click change or maybe it says add if you don't have one yet, and upload whatever custom version you want. It'll add that subscribe button to all your videos. xoxo Hope this helps! Hey! No I don't post daily, but I have been posting a lot. I was thinking of cutting back actually and focus on creating a mini-course for new KZbinrs, but I've been averaging about 3-5 videos per week and 2-4 shorts. I was looking at your channel and from what I am learning at least, niching down is really helping me. Sticking to a clear topic for all my videos, is helping me grow and the youtube algorithm push my content to the right people. I recommend picking a target audience or niche for 3-6months and just do videos on that one topic, use keywords in the descriptions of your video and even consider updating your channel description to have those words in the description. Then I think once youtube understands more of what you are about, it can push your content to the right people. Wishing you more subs in the near future! :)
