Every time the amount went up, Leah looks so serious. HeHe. Gary, so just living a normal life doing normal things, makes you look very rich to most Filipina's. 2k a month is still very cheap for a family of 4. The smiles from Leah and the children are sure enough priceless brother. God Bless

@lez075 I think only way is to have a retirement from another country like the US. Because I would think since it's cheaper there, pay is as well.

You guys are a great couple. God has blessed the two of you very much. When I get there in a few months, I’ll be living in Cebu City with my girlfriend. I’ve budgeted around $2K-2500 a month and we should live very comfortably. When I told my girlfriend how much I have to spend she couldn’t believe the figure. She’s never seen that kind of money but she’s a great girl and we should do reasonably well on our budget. I like when you and the other vloggers do these budget videos because it allows me to be fully prepared for any eventualities that may come so I can know about how much to spend on things. Thanks for the information and take care both you and your by kids.

Don't spend that kind of money here, your asking for trouble trust me. You can live comfortably on $1500 a month we live on a $1000 a month and beer and cigs account for about half of that. We don't have any rent to pay because my wife owns a farm here. Again don't let people know you have money unless you want to spend your days having people try to nickel and dime you to death. Best of luck to you, I love being retired in the Philippines we're in the provinces though I don't like cities.

My expenditure in the Philippines is 130,000 php per month (but this also includes some mandatory banking on her side, at my request) so your family is doing ok. One thing I did do though was to ask my partner to write down everything she bought in columns of expenditure so that she could visualize what we spend.....it has amazed her. Example - tikes are expensive where I live compared to most of Philippines, but she would often go to the shop to get this or get that and not consider the trike costs as part of the actual cost of getting those items, since writing everything down she has backed off the trike trips a lot as she just didn't realize the real cost of getting those items. It has also assisted her with budgeting which as we all know is not a strong point in the Philippines.

That's a very small amount of money for a family of 4 to live on in American standards. It just can't be done in America in my opinion. Thank you for sharing. Finances and medical things are very personal but I would have been interested in knowing how much the Gracie medical emergency cost you. That would be important for foreigners to know for getting medical insurance and/or having an acceptable sized emergency fund. Again, thanks for being willing to share as much as you did.

Gary, you're living my dream brotha! Leah seems perfect. All of these American men, Philippine women videos I watch all seem to have the same thing in common. Caring, submissive, appreciative to just name a few. Dating here is the total opposite. At 39, feel like I have time to make it happen, hopefully by 42. My question would be on the temperature & air conditioning?

Gary is now curious as to how much you make through KZbin. Hey, it’s your money Leah. Advice, do put away some of your earnings aside for emergency purpose i.e. medical. People could ultimately go broke on one episode where a family member is hospitalized for a long period of time and the cost associated is astronomically high. $1,350.00 is not bad for your family’s standard way of living. Take care.

Well, what your video showed me is that I should be living rather comfortably in the Philippines. If you guys manage to live well with 4 people on less than 100.000 pesos a month, I should definitely be okay, as I’m paying currently as followed: Rent for a 1 bedroom: $1800 Food per month. : $2000 Truck. : $ 500 Insurance, property taxes, Medication, bills like internet, Hydro, utilities, etc. : $2500 Entertainment: : $. 500 Total per month at least $7000 And yes, that’s for a single person living an average lifestyle

its all well and good if you have so much money that you don't really care what you do with it. Guys, I have built a 2 storey house which means we pay no rent. you mentioned you pay 12k rent for your house. where do you live? House rental fees here in my area vary from 5k for a small house and 10k for a very large house. We have hot water in the shower and split inverter aircon in the bedroom, we live more comfortable than almost anyone in our subdivision. I eat almost the same as i would in Europe and my wife eats the typical meals for a Filipino. water is 291 a month, electric 2500 a month, gas 800 every 2 months. Anyway.....our monthly budget is around 27-30K no problem and we do really live a comfortable life. your budget 80k to 100k a month, WOW !!!!!
