@Alux.com Thank you so much. I think so, money is more important at the age of 20s or 30s since basic needs need to be fulfilled. At the later stage, when you are stable, you can leave the job. I agree to your statement. 😊

Job satisfaction should be the first motive. Then money. With a job you love, you can easily make money. But if you hate your job, making money will be highly stressful and difficult. No need of having lots of money but feeling empty and sad. After all, money is never enough and it's not always about the money. It's about personal satisfaction and the strong feel good feeeling in the heart, body, mind and soul.

When i was younger, i wanted to do a job i loved, but now that i have understood how important the value of money is, I'd like to recommend going for money, because once you have a decent amount saved up, you can pursue your passions and that way, even if your passion doesn't succeed, atleast you have some money to fall back on. As always, i love seeing alux videos.

Money is better if you have a concrete plan for it (rental property, company stock, etc.). If you don't have a plan for the money and would take it to lease a stupid car or something equally stupid, pursuing job satisfaction would be better.

Been down this road with employers.. i Always end up quitting jobs that pay good money cause I'm just not happy there Obviously bills have to be paid so having a job that pays good is important but I'm willing to take a little bit less money if job satisfaction is there, for example I just got offered a job making $19 an hour I'm in Texas so that's a good starting wage I didn't except cause I felt like the job was going to be boring and not fun I instead Accepted a job that pays $16 an hour Cause I felt like the culture atmosphere and coworkers was gonna bring joy and excitement to my life Moral of the story is money don't buy happiness

I think you need a basic income but you should do your career early on. That's my opinion even if you don't get paid very often or very much

A few days ago I was listening to someone who was trying to explain how to do what you love rather than worry about money and earning a living while at the same time explaining that you have to earn money and you need to have and earn money in the modern world. I spent a lot of time and energy on education when I was growing up. I spent time reading and studying and learning subjects independently that I thought were important and of value, but I have to admit I probably never found anything I truly loved and enjoyed and just wanted to do independently of earning money. I am not sure what strategy you use with a question like this. And when you deal with political groups like Unions... well basically Unions will tell you that they represent people who work for money and, maybe, clean out the toilets whether they enjoy the work or not and so money is all that matters. I believe a Professor Abraham Maslow who developed a "hierarchy of needs" which must be satisfied before an individual can know and do what he enjoys or what is satisfying to him. And somehow maybe this makes sense. We are people who need to grow and develop and learn and mature. Or maybe you simply need to find something that makes you happy and you will be motivated towards that end. I have heard and read of individuals who find a sport or athletic activity for example and can't leave it alone. They simply want to play the sport and possibly the interaction and learning is satisfying to them. But surely money matters most of the time to most of us. This is something American society expects us to know and understand.

why choose? employers want employees to work more and pay less, and don't often bother about satisfaction. be your own boss and enjoy both!
