Bronny James has become a popular betting pick for NBA Rookie of the Year. Colin Cowherd thinks this is a sign of people burning their money on an impossible outcome, and he talks about the Houston Texans’ fast rebuild under Nick Caserio.

In NE, Caserio was allowed to pick the cheap second tier players that usually ended up playing great. In Houston, Caserio, Ryans, Slowik and Cal & Hannah McNair are all on the same page. The previous three years before last year was an unmitigated disaster but now the attitude, character and commitment to winning has changed the organization. Gone are Bill Obrien, Jack Easterby, Deshaun Watson, David Culley, Romeo Crennel, Lovie Smith and now Cal & Hannah have total control over the Texans Org. and everything looks to be on track for success.

I always thought the behind the scenes clip of the NE draft room when they drafted Gronk was really telling about the difference between Caserio and Belichick. They're both watching Gronk as he puts on a helmet after being drafted and starts goofing around, but Caserio is smiling and laughing a little bit while Belichick is reacting like there's no way that drafting some dude bro college meathead would work out. Lo and behold, it worked out pretty damn well. Unsure if that's proof that Caserio can judge prospects better, but given how many times he's emphasized that guys should be authentically themselves, I think he doesn't mind eccentric personalities as long as they care about football, are a good teammate, and want to put the work in.

The thing about the Patriots they had a tendency picking up allot of draft picks trading players that may have become a bit pricey . They got tom to take a lower salary so to be able to pick up better players but that never really happened . Bill had the believe he could plug and players from a less experienced place to replace more expensive veterans. They had lots of opportunity to get quality players but bill did not care about as much about talent . He wanted players that would follow bills team philosophy which was disciplined . He saved the owner a boatload of money over his tenure . Ton was on the chopping block as bill considered his usefulness was coming to end . Bill usually let go players before they were washed up to get something for them . So how did Bill have so much success with the Patriots ? Tom was a big part of that but he did not usually have great players but the players he had played hard for him . The offense played to the strength of the defense with ball control and time of possession to keep the defense rested but he needed Tom to orchestrate that and toms replacement just did not have those qualities. This destroyed offensive tine of possession and the defense had to be in the field more and wearing out

Cmon Colin, what a terilrible take on the Bronny betting, draft and countries Financials. Why would you not toss a couple bucks on him to win ROY? the odds and payouts are crazy. It's not crazy to think he'll end up playing meaningfully minutes, Le"baron" will see sure to that. Especially if they aren't playing well and when he tweets that he'd help the team. He's already got him drafted and on the team. A national average of betting denominations on trying to make an easy buck (circumstantial) dose not dictate America's doing well. Also it's easy to say the couple picks before bronny and after him won't be around. Sure, they didn't get a 4-5 year guaranteed contract. The whole dichotomy of that team is set up to appease le"baron". The boy will play and play alot. And it won't take all star Stats to get ROY. 15 pts and a couple other columns. That team is not interested in winning. First father son, fisrt father mvp and roy. Write the headlines. Need more stories for our sports entertainment.
