These are the kind of yard sale videos i like. I have left many a yard sale because the there wasn't something worth buying or the prices were high. You are showing what really happens sometimes. Not every yard sale is a home run

I do like this format. There is an easy way to remove the stink from those purses, it takes time and a little space. Put 2 inches of clean unscented clumping clay kitty litter (the bulk litter from Petco works great) in the bottom of a lidded storage bin. Add a handful of baking soda and stir it in. Level the litter mix and place a sheet of white tissue paper or newsprint on top of the litter. Put the purses in the bin and close the lid. You can put some of the litter mixture inside a really odiferous purse if you need to. Leave it for a couple of weeks, then check the purses for odor. If they still smell, put them back in the bin and check after another week or two. Repeat until the odor is gone. It sometimes takes months, but it works. This method is also good for removing smoke odor, mustiness, perfume, etc. and also works for clothing, books and paper goods. I often forget to check back, then remember a few months later, and the odor is gone. This is also a good way to store soft goods in a humid climate to prevent mustiness. I saw it right before you stepped over it and in my head was trying to figure out how to ship it.

About the purses, try putting them in a closed plastic tub with several open boxes of baking soda or garden charcoal. Leave them in for some weeks. Baking Soda or charcoal usually do a good job of removing odors.

I wonder if sprinkling a boatload of baking soda in the purses before you put them in the freezer for 30 days would remove the odor. Like for mildew.

There really is nothing more disgusting than going through a dead man's stuff. Society has lost their way.
@andreabradley58377 ай бұрын
I guess it depends on who the dead man is. I pack for a moving company and yes, I've had to pack dead people's stuff. It's actually hard on me emotionally. I believe that objects carry energy. I really try to respect the spirit of the person.
@harleykittin52327 ай бұрын
I would rather see someone purchase the stuff than it end up on a landfill. I would think the previous owner would think tbat too

@@harleykittin5232 Actually when I go I would like my stuff to bring joy to another person. However when I think about a bunch of strangers going through my mother's personal belongings that is when it is disgusting. I wish people would maybe choose to do auctions or flea market and just leave the name "estate" out of it. There really is nothing wrong with it otherwise as long as people don't know where it came from. Maybe it's a legal thing they have to do but it's not cool to the deceased.

I love Hobo brand bags. I take things that have a smell and put it in a medium trash bag and pour baking soda in and out all over the bag. I tie it up and toss it it around and put it out in the sun. I did that with a vintage leather purse and a nightgown that smelled (one like smoke even after washing it) and kept it outside in the sun for 2 weeks tossing it around....smell was gone!
@TexasGalTreasures7 ай бұрын

As you're entering the estate sale, the woman tells you everything IS 50% OFF! There are a few items I would have picked up at that price. I think Valiro means "value" in Italian. Maybe that's why you can't find a maker or listing? LOL
