I actually seen similar kind of damage. It was on a iPhone 6 plus and my friend had a Ford Transit where there was a small compartment for the sunglasses or something like that. Someone hit him from the left side, the door bend and the upper part of the iPhone was broken. Luckily nothing important was damaged so I just transferred the logic board and the TouchID to other iPhone 6 plus that had short on the VCC_Main. Basically this helped me to get all his data through 3uTools and transfer the files to his brand new Galaxy S8 without having to deal with the not working wifi issue that was probably caused during the accident. Yeah, I wonder why Apple has to make everything so difficult. Like on all my phones, doesn't matter if that was my Samsung JET S8000, my HTC Evo running Windows for Mobile 6.4 or even any of the newer phones like the revived Nokia 3310 or my black friday purchase, a S22 Ultra. All of them just can be connected to PC and the files can be moved or modified without any extra software.

You did a super job ! Where do you get so much donor parts or you can get new direct from the manufacturer ? For this particular job would it be more easy to get a brand new iPhone and just transfer the data from the old memory chip to the new iPhone ? Is it more cost effective in comparison ?

If its that much damage id just go to the apple store and have the device swapped for 500usd. You pay a little premium but you basically get a new device with working face id

hello! the face id display sensor can be transferred with solder to a new flexi and it works again...

Anyway, the videos are good, I watch them all the time. I also have a phone like this a few times....most of them got water...but many times it was hit by a car or other hand, so I had to transfer it to a new flexi because of the Face ID in order for the display sensor to work...

Bro, If it is water damaged, on this model, chances are it is 100% dead. Try to change the battery yourself first, (pretty easy on these phones, did it myself one time) and see. If it turns on, you can get further. If not, don’t waste money and find one used but working properly. 👍🏻
