The funding rate depends on the amount of orders that are open at the specific moment, if there are more shorts than longs, then shorts pay longs the funding rate, do not expect always pay for long, it is like this now because the market is bullish on btc, therefore there are more open longs then shorts.

Great tutorials. One thing thats needs clearing up. Negative funding rate means shorts pay longs. Granted most of the time longs pay shorts but not always!

So if you had 200usd and placed a long position, isolated margin x 2 as an example. If the market went the other way, and you get liquidated that means you lose your money and Bybit doesn't hold a debt against you?

Yes .think of ur liquidation as a stop loss!! Simple as that. You only lose your liquidated order amount and not ur full balance. I use it this way

10x leverage ISNT A LOT !! think of that ratio as the price moving 10% against you in the opposite direction. 2x leverage means price must move 50% against your order. Bybit will even tell you the liquidation prices.its such a good exchange for that info

10x essentially means YOU PUT 10% of your money into a trade and the exchange ADD 90% of the same amount. So now your collateral is 10x your money. If price moves 10% (the amount you put in) they liquidate you. The exchanges portion is never affected.
