Mongolian Archery: Death From Afar (Documentary)

I recently had a unique and special opportunity to spend some time with Tumurkhuu Batmunkh, owner of www.mongolianarchery.com and one of the most well known archers and bow makers in Mongolia. He showed me his workspace and private collection of bows and arrows from all over the world. I purchased a traditional Mongolian Nomadic now made from horn and sinew, and covered in birch. It was one of two traditional bows I bought in Ulaanbataar. It was an absolutely fascinating experience made possible by New Milestone Tours* and we are so proud to own two bows who's design dates back to the warrior legacy of Chinggis Khan.

yes the one he unstrings is a manchu style bow, manchu style bows are and were popular in mongolia, you can see he has many types of bow on the wall unstrung, id imagine its like gun enthusiasts with guns, only one style is never enough

@@aleckirstein I bought several years ago 2 bows from Mongolian Traditianal Archey association CEO Tumurhugu Batmunkh. The bow were a complete shit from the mechanical point. 60 pounds composite bow hardly launched an arrow at 30 m , very slow, never accurate. I analized the bow with Grozer, he said that that bow had a discrepancy between the limbs and the string was not in line. so i got rid of it.
