I am Italian. My deepest respect to the Mongolian culture. I want to tell you everybody here, that two brave man from the Roman Church, Giovanni di Pian del Carmine and Benedykt Polak, traveled from Italy to Mongolian capital Karakorum in the summer 1245 with a letter of the Roman Pope: they were treated as honourable guests, and were given a return letter, which is still today preserved in the Vatican Museums. The two have written books with the description of the places and the people they've visited, and it is up to now a very precious source of information about the Mongols, seen by foreigners. I would like to travel by horse from Rome to Karakorum, via Krakow, Kiew, Astrakhan, and then ahead till modern Mongolia, with a letter of peace of friendship for all the people.

The real historical fact is that the Mongols destroyed the Japanese army quickly and occupied several islands. Unfournatly they lost to the weather, not to the samurai. The Mongol fleet was destroyed by the typhoon and the Japanese luckily saved. That was why the Japanese were worshiping the Typhoon and called it as Kamikaze( the wind from god). During world war two, the Japanese imperial army also named its suicide attack plane as kamikaze.

In fact it is exactly the opposite. Literally any other civilization would have been wiped off the map at the first attempted invasion by the Turks/Mongols/Tungusic. Just look at the devastation that the Huns did in Western Eurasia after being easily expelled from Eastern Eurasia by China. Its truly unbelievable that China has resisted so many invasions by the most powerful warriors in history.
@hzhang1228 Жыл бұрын
China have been fighting the Mongols since the BCEs it's nothing new. the Huns were driven off their homeland because of the conflict, the most dangerous enemy of China has always been Chinese themselves. the Mongols were able to succeed because of actions of China's reunification war. the fractured China lasted much longer against a much larger Mongol force than the western nations even though they are logistically much closer. imagine you are high above on the walled city, and off in the distance you hear the sounds of the barbarians, soon deafened by the thunder drums mounted on the walls as uniformed soldiers ready their superior weapons. the only fear would be the corruption of the court officials.

The person in that picture resemble the legendary mongol general "subutai" who won 65 pitched battles and won against 32 nation while obtaining the most land out of all military general in history, him and jebe was also known for the great raid that took place on the middle east through russia before heading back and retaking it after the new rule ogedai khan. Its known he lost 3 battles mostly one against the jin dynasty, ironicaly it would be the first and last victory of the jin dynasty before subutai came back and sent an army from the north to the south and attack them in there weak spot and annihalated them. He would die in age 72-73 after he retired in his late 71 with the song dynasty being his last campaign. If anyone interested of great military general then subutai would be the highest to learn as he and genghis khan were the first to master modern warfare which combine speed, division with coordination and living off the land along with deception as he was known for being the tsun tzu of the mongol.

@@manasdey6410 the original turks were much more similar to Mongols than to Turkey's turkish people. Turkey is Anatolia, they' are the former Byzantium, a mediterranean people, they've been CULTURALLY TURKIFIED by Oghuz turks who came from Kazakhistan. The purest Turks today are from the Altai and parts of Siberia, they are very similar to Mongols.
@zeflute45864 жыл бұрын
No they were not... Mongol came from the Moghul tribe of Shiwei people, that's quite clear. Shiwei+Xianbei were firstly rivals then vassals of Huns. The comcept of Turk was more vague and complicated. A tribe of Huns conquered the proto-Uygur people, and named the nation after the mountain of Turk, hence the first Turk Empire. Later because of the warfare with Tang, the Empire broke into East and West Turk. The east one was those Hun tribes, but the west one is a half caucasian half asian one. Some of those Caucasian tribes went further west, they became the Turks today. The one remained in Tarim basin became today's Uygur and Kirghiz people.

Speaking from what little (about a year) experience I have of Tuvan throat singing, it takes loads of concentration and focus and puts you into a trance like state after a while. Absolutely amazing, but absolutely useless as an actual war chant. You'd fall off your horse. Well, I would anyways, the mongols may as well be born in the saddle, but still. Your eyes shut, your throat vibrating and the outside world mostly tuned out isn't exactly conducive to a cavalry charge.

@@voltgaming2213 Great Mongolian Nation) was an empire that ruled in Central Asia between 1206-1294. It consisted of a combination of Mongolian and Turkish tribes that submitted to the Genghis Khan administration in Asia during its establishment period. Then it expanded with successive conquests. The Mongol Empire is the world's largest land empire with contiguous borders. Genghis Khan was more Turkish than Mongolian, as we can say that Turks and Mongols were two brother nations from the same root and tribe. It is possible to say that Cengiz's Turkishness is also fixed by the testimony of neutral contemporary Chinese, apart from historical traditions. Cengiz's family was a branch of the Dynasty that ruled over some of the Mongols in accordance with the old Turkish state tradition. It is understood from the names of Cengiz's sons Çağatay and Ögedey that Turkish traditions continued in this dynasty. As it is known, 'Çağa' and 'Öge' are Turkish words.
