+Igboman87 I know, but I'm talking about before Destiny's Child debuted. Monica debuted in 95 (even tho her album was completed in 93/94 and Miss Thang had sold 3 mill by then), DC debuted in 97/98. And that's when she and Bey crossed paths. By that time Monica's The Boy Is Mine album and of course the Brandy/Monica duet TBIM was a phenomenon at that time, and DC was just heating up with No No No with Wyclef. Point being, many of these artist had relationships prior to fame cause many of them were children already in the business. Even Destiny's Child was on Star Search (by a different name of course) prior to them even having a deal. So see why musical history and eras are important. But much of this generation either wasn't born yet or too young to remember.
