I love this song sooo much , since I was a kid ! In the song , shes basically saying , either leave the streets alone or im GONE . Its not funny but its a coincidence that how at the end of the song the police rushed to the house to get him after she left because this actually happened to him. She left because he was still in the streets when he most definitely didnt need to be & he got caught up in something & is in jail now .

I love this song! Monica is so talented even from a very young age. She was 13 years old out singing singers twice her age and putting out more meaningful songs than they were as well. She has been lucky and unlucky in love though. One of her boyfriends committed suicide in front of her. Another one of her exes ( C-Murder; Master P's brother and Lil Romeo's uncle) is locked up for a murder that he says he didn't commit. Monica is still currently trying to get him out of prison after all of these years. Her son's father Rocko is a rapper... and cheater. Her ex-husband was an NBA player who everybody thought was a family man... and he's also a cheater smh. Monica is one of those artists that puts alot of her personal life in her music so alot of her songs are raw and dealing with real life situations. She also has songs about situations that have happened to other people. This song is in particular is her telling a boyfriend that the streets is gonna get him caught up so she is trying to get him to leave the street life and if he won't then she is gone. There are plenty of women that can relate to this song because nobody wants to see the person they love locked up or dead especially over something senseless that has to deal with the street life and what comes with it. If you like this song then you should react to her song U Should've Known Better because I think you would like that one too.
