When songs are inevitably sung in English, they rarely make little sense or you can’t hear the words anyway so yes…let’s hear countries sing in their own native languages again. If I were foreign I’d consider it an insult if my country's entry was sung in English and not my own.

Monika and her song are just FABULOUS. Lithuanian is indeed a beautiful language. It is, in fact, the language I cherish the most. (And I am French!) I started learning it after listening to Aistė's song Strazdas in 1999. (To me, Samogitian is even more melodic than Standard Lithuanian.) I was ten years old then, and it was the first time I actually heard a foreign language: it sounded elegant, sophisticated; I could also feel the deep connection with nature which is loved and respected by the Lithuanian people. With its different tones and vowels, Lithuanian is a rich language, definitely worth speaking, spreading, and being proud of. I understand Monika's feelings about it.

@@matenovak4647 We have great (but scarce) resources in French. In English, however, you can find a PDF of Ambrazas's grammar online. "Colloquial Lithuanian" seems to be a good textbook: it includes dialogues and comes along with audio recordings. 😀
