Heeramandi is a hit I am surprised most of my friends who saw say it’s below average

Ask her why they aren’t releasing Dibakar’s film they commissioned!

Answer is obvious - there's no rule of law in India. Courts will cheerfully participate in persecuting dissent or anything ruling regime doesn't like.

It’s extremely hard to believe that we are listening to a VP! There’s no data to support, just hyping and talking like a fan-boy, so disappointing!

Phew! I was not the only one thinking this interview is so shallow. Big words. Nothing else.
@KushagraaDubeyy21 күн бұрын
That’s more because of an ineffective and all talk no substance host than just the VP. Plus it’s your own expectation that’s misplaced, if you know the host and fundamentally her tone and approach in all her interviews, you wouldn’t have been this surprised.

Hey Vanita, I think your audience would have really appreciated a question regarding the evolution and current state of censorship on Netflix India?

Even though diversity is showcased through predominantly buying movies of other industries, Disney and Amazon Prime do a far superior job with showcasing the diversity of multiple language creative industries in India. Netflix always has leaned towards Hindi content, barring the rare exception of Kohraa and a handful of others...

I think Monica needs a workshop for articulating more clearly. Wonder what her feedback would be for poor creators
@StriderEl5 ай бұрын
The irony is that all of Monika’s responses here, despite being a VP, would fail miserably at a Netflix job interview even at the individual contributor level. Surprisingly unstructured, roundabout, and clichéd.

The difference b/w Netflix and other OTT platforms is obviously the content, but also how it accurately recommends content based on preferences and taste. Additionally, it provides a well sorted list of movies and web series based on genre..and there is always new content available..

Suitable for the optics as VP at Netflix, some Trivia.....most interesting part of the talk show is when she describes the screening of Heeramandi at the Egyptian Theatre on Sunset Boulevard in LA.. but OTHERWISE one can notice Monika has no straight responses, diverges from questions by Vanita Kohli...repetitive, contradictory at times. Either she is great at her job or taking credit for someone else's efforts or just plain bad at Q&A's like this one
