Evangelist has always sung alto from at least a teenager. She just happens to have a wide range and was known as the alto that sounds like a soprano. Regarding not hearing any WORD yet, I'm sure the sermon was substantially longer than the 3:49 clip we are viewing, making it REALLY difficult to make an sound assessment of the message in it's entirety. Sounds like she may have just finished the reading of the scripture and presenting the introduction (laying the foundation).
