Get the GH4 body, it has features you will want and need for serious work. Then get or save and get the LUMIX 25mm f1.4, I just did a Google search and you can get one used for $105. That will be a nice starting setup, just add lenses over time.

My worry with this setup is you're monitoring the audio going into the Zoom, but not exactly what's going into the camera. Ie if there's a problem with your camera's mic jack, you won't know. I'm probably being paranoid as this is unlikely, right ? I know you can record on the Zoom anyway , but sometimes for quick review it's good to have the camera audio

Test test test and Trust your equipment. I have my audio meter running om the camera to verify I'm receiving signal into the camera. I've preformed test recording and imported them into my editor to check audio quality and sync before any serious work. This lets me preset my values so I know what to expect. This is the absolute best we can do since this camera doesn't have and headphone jack. Just make sure the audio meter is moving on the camera screen, the biggest thing that can happen is the audio cable isn't seated properly.

Can I use my wireless Bluetooth headphones with my G85?

Bluetooth headphones invariably have latency, which means you won't be hearing what's happening live. There will always be some sort of delay caused by encoding and decoding, which these days is still an unacceptable tenth of a second or so.
