Just to add some additional feedback, these speakers are excellent. I've had a pair for about nine months now and I couldn't be happier. We got a demo pair in at work and I liked them so much I ordered a pair for myself. I did a long comparison with the LS50 on several different amplifiers and my boss and I both enjoyed the Monitors more.

Silver 200 are excellent too. Massive improvement over the model they have superseded. I have have been really impressed with Monitor Audio recently as a whole.

Pj Let I just wanted to say I drastically made these already very respectable speakers much much better. I replaced all 5 of the Monitor Audio poly capacitors with the New Clarity CSA capacitors , And replaced the 3 -5watt resistors with Mills MR 12 Watt,1% Mills resistors and Johnson’s 5% Silver solder.for $250 in Xover parts, and all connections were treated with Stabilant signal enhancer protectant which Myself NASA and a bunch of other in the field. Monitor should follow my lead and Offer this exact upgrade as a Se-MK-2 model.

What kind of adaptor is used for the input ports? I have banana plug cables, can't use that?
