Hey so I jus got a new Nile monitor and ur KZbin channel is amazing any tips on gaining trust for these guys
@itsbaileypets3 жыл бұрын
Hey and yes I know there are some people out there that are totally against niles and it’s true they require more work , I recommend. Starting off with basics like walking by the cage often, cleaning it often , holding him/her in water like a tub and you could also add some clothing in cage often as well

The best advice though is to hold and handle him/ her often just know that they will bite but don’t give up these guys need consistency and you might fill like giving up , but eventually you hope to get better that is how it was for me mines kept hissing , biting and wild but eventually after like the first year he calmed down so much like puppy tame

@@itsbaileypets I'm also thinking that if I can add shrimp shells as calcium supplements when I don't feed them whole prey. I have other animals and sometimes I remove the shells from the shrimps, so I was wondering if I could freeze those shells and use them as calcium supplements when I'm not feeling the gel diet or whole prey

@@itsbaileypets one more thing about the saltwater fish, I was thinking about if they ran into the same problem as some freshwater fish. In that they they're high in the enzyme thymanaez, is that a concern when using saltwater fish?
@itsbaileypets3 жыл бұрын
@@bromaro I wouldn’t make it a every day thing but they will most likely eat it still but a high quality sea food diet it very healthy
