Really enjoyed this video. I did my master's thesis in geology in the Toquima Range, used to drive through Belmont regularly. The old miners' cabins were just beginning to be refurbished as a vacation homes then (early 80s) and spent considerable time in the Monitor Valley and Big (or was it Great?) Smoky Valley. Went into Austin or Eureka for supplies every week or so, or down to Tonopah to ship my samples back to the university and get the truck repaired. I often camped at the petroglyph cave (even camped inside it, no fence then) and the mouth of Ike's Canyon, which you passed on the way south to Diana's Punchbowl. There are several hot springs in the area, and a hot soak felt really really good after a long day hiking and mapping and sample collecting and backpacking the samples to camp, then fall asleep dead tired looking up at the stars. If there was a Pine Camp at the time I was unaware of it. Thanks to you and Linda for the updated tour!

Watching some of your videos you’re getting pretty close to your ground clearance on vehicle and trailer I think a couple inches of lift would be helpful you can easily put a 2 inch lift on your trailer, curious are you running Dexter axle with the pivoting axles? Leaf springs? I would assume you probably air down when you’re off road, also I haven’t noticed if you have any recovery for that vehicle meaning a winch? It’s nice you folks get out and do this I try to go somewhere at least every two weeks with my dog but the places I go I need a lot of ground clearance and my trailer is small it’s a modified teardrop for off roading but I love it, I enjoy your videos thank you!!!👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌

You both are very wise travelers, it's an honor to watch. These were cool attractions. We drove 270 miles once to see a "mountain" in shape of a turtle. When we got there we saw it was about the size of a tv (and that was in the 70's).But things look different in the desert, and if you laid down on ground at right angle it did look like a turtle mountain !
