I attended a gala two weeks ago. I did not grasp that the event was black and white. I wore a red dress, heels and lipstick. I looked amazing and felt like a million bucks. After about 20 minutes I realized that everyone had on black, black and white, or some variation with silver. One other lady had on red and a few had on burgundy. We laughed and I had an incredible time. Yesterday, a colleague that happened to attend the event, approached me stating how beautiful I looked. She then went on to tell me her girlfriend made disparaging remarks about me..”I hate when people have to be seen.” “People think they are something.” “Who she think she is!” I thought to myself, mmmm that’s weird. I also thought, was it really necessary to repeat something so ignorant and unnecessary? I’m so proud of myself for staying in my centered energy. You can’t allow folk that don’t know you assign their insecurities, trauma and drama on to you. Can’t wait to wear my red dress again…Wish I could post it😉💕

Oh, No! Good for you for staying in your centered energy. While I somewhat share her sentiments, her intentions weren't coming from a good place. If the message had to be delivered to you, there was a better way to handle it. Instead, she threw her friend under the bus to passive aggressively share her opinions about your actions. @@PeaceAndShalom I’m saying that we often times talk about problems as though black women/men are defective in some way and that we have problems others don’t also have. When we do this (not on this platform) it tends to send the subliminal message that because we are black we are problematic when the reality is EVERY body has problems.

I have received soo much hate lately due to having a provider husband. My husband married me very quickly and is soo doting. Those around me who I thought would be happy for me, are jealous and have shown it in not so nice ways. Like not even smiling when congratulating me when I got engaged. I am happy for every girl around me who finds love but that wasn’t the energy I received. Then when I left a comment on fb advising other black women on dating tips like making my husband wait to get the cookie, I got attacked by both black men and black women. I don’t take it personally, I know it’s hate. I’m enjoying my hypergamous life.

I follow her and the bottom line is in the black community, we don't elevate positive images of black women especially those that are darker skinned. In general, black women aren't seen as worthy of a soft life. Many women are jaded, bitter and don't see her lifestyle as realistic for black women. It's sad we get boxed in stereotypes. In other groups, being feminine is just existing and positive spaces are created for that experience to thrive. The same is simply untrue for us. 👑

This type of behavior can come from your mother, women on the job, social media, teachers / professors, men, etc. Jealous and insecure people don't rest until they are satisfied with ripping you apart. You would think women would take notes and study this women and many probably do, but that spirit of self hate is the biggest monster you have to slay to truly experience the highest form of your ascension into greatest, good health, amazing and fulfilling relationships, wealth, growing spiritual awareness and all the good this life has to offer. But so many will forever be watching from the sidelines because they don't want to do the work on themselves and that makes them hateful, losers and dangerous. Please be safe with who you allow you and vet all relationships wisely and with patience. As quiet as kept the people who pretend like they don’t see when women like Jessica are being hated on are the ones who are doing it OR they don’t mind watching others do it because they hate to see another black woman living a life they would kill for. Very unsettling to hear her story and it breaks my heart that black people know that black women are the least protected and disrespected in our communities and in society. The bullying and silencing of black women on social media has gotten worse and it's unfair to see another race with the same gender or not, doing similar narratives and they're not going through the same BS as black women do on social media. When you get bullied on social media, don't just assume it's your own kind doing the devils deed because chances are it is your enemy who can't stand your light so they create fake accounts and profiles to try and dim your light so you can disappear and they can Take over the spot light and earn money. Black women, whatever we do we live rent free in peoples heads. "We're damned if we do and Damned if we don't." Great topic, Chloe.

I remember I was having jealous thoughts about my team mate. It wasn't that I didn't like her. And I knew those feelings were coming from my own place of insecurities. I wasn't mean to her but it was hard to deal with feelings around her. But here's the funny thing. Those negative feelings I had towards her didnt feel like my own. And I remember talking down those mean thoughts I was having as if were a different persona saying them because it kind of felt like it was. I would see her and immediately I would hear those voices in my head criticizing her appearance. And I would say outloud to those voices "There's nothing wrong with her. You're the problem." These bad thoughts were like poison because they were starting to make me depressed. That's when I tried to pray the spirit of jealously away. ( as well as work on myself) The spirit did eventually leave me. I rebuked all the lies and negatively it bestowed on me. My team mate, I don't know if she sensed it or not but she showed me nothing but grace and love the whole time. I guess because she knew my heart and that I was fighting those demons. And now I admirer her so much more.

Jessica is one of my favorites. Such a poised, and classy lady. I definitely think resentment, jealousy and colorism play a role in her treatment and it’s even worse when it comes from our own. I hope people don’t dont down play this at all. Then on the other end of the spectrum you have Golloria, another beauty creator who was bullied so badly outside of the community she had to leave Tik Tok. This is why I always support Black women who represent us well.

I hate that this beautiful woman has to go through this and explain herself to the peanut gallery. Honestly this is why I left social media aka IG, Twitter and FB more than 5 years ago. The internet is not a real place because I simply refuse to believe it’s this many miserable people in the world. Sometimes I feel like my inner circle ⭕️ is the only normal and sane and rational people I know.

I believe it stems from a spirit of rejection. Some women, because of rejection inflict that spirit onto others as an unhealthy way to feel superior instead of taking the time to heal and become whole and secure. We have to do better. We have so much to offer each other and should accept each other as opportunities to support instead of opponents.

I don’t know what’s going on in the world. But I notice how negative people are getting these days. Is it the economy? Are people suffering so much that they can’t relate to her? I think people are really miserable. When a dark skin black women is modest, beautiful and graceful. It irritates their souls! This is a spiritual thing yall.

She is stunning! 🤩 One thing to make clear for her viewers is let them know who her target audience is. If you are classy and on an ongoing journey of leveling up and seeking growth then your audience should know who they are. Just as the lowly miserable no- growth, no-aspiration so-called female haters should clearly know they don't belong in the same room (aka your social media space) with you. I hope she grows thick skin to mute them and be unbothered about them.

I’m just now seeing this woman. No clue who she was until you posted this video. The problem we have is that we keep lumping black culture into one type. Not all black women are toxic. Not all of us are damaging other black women. I’ll give her a follow.

She shouldn’t allow anyone to dictate how she moves, in this instance, by giving them attention. This might sound controversial, but honestly, whenever I’ve felt a woman’s jealousy, I wish them well but I’m also veryyyy tickled pink because I know I’m doing something right 😌

Im not familiar w her content but from what I hear, they sound like the classic “haters”. Being pretty AND feminine will ALWAYS get attention from men, women and children, good and bad. If you don’t let the good go to your head, the bad won’t stand a chance. Don’t quit!!! That is Exactly what they want. The best get-back is to keep excelling and leave them in the dust where they feel at home and comfortable. Keep your head up pretty girl ❤

7:17 it’s cuz that’s the box they put you in and you were supposed to stay in. Crabs in a barrel at its finest. As hard as it is to be a black woman is heartbreaking when you don’t even have the sisterhood of those that look like you.

Very true Chloe, I feel like they do the same to Clarke. Constantly trying to shame her for having high standards and try to convince her to lower her dating expectations even after she has had to explain how she built herself up to who she is today and why she can’t not be with someone who brings less to the table she has set herself up for.

It is mportant to surround yourself with like minds. I am in community with women who are beautiful, hypergamous Black women. As my mother says. All of your skin folk aren’t your kinfolk. Some Black women carry the seeds of jealousy and will try to block your shine. But those women off quickly and move on from toxicity.
