A little bit off, so they are a ducal family if I remember right, which is a single step down from THE royal family. Generally but not always ducal families are a branch family of the royal line. For example previous king had two kids, one kid becomes the next king, the other becomes a duke until/unless the current king dies, in which case they take over. Regardless usually they have very close bonds and their children would typically spend time with each other, which will explain a bit for the next few episodes.

Konosuba is forever the goat. Especially Kazuma. I LOVE how unapologetically degenerate he is. My man is NOT afraid to voice his desires and enact on them. He goes agaisnt the submissive, dimissive and shy MC troupe that's plauged anime for the past couple years now. Episode 9 of season 1 is still my favorite 😂😂 I could rewatch Konosuba hundreds of times and NEVER get tired of it. Love the cast of characters and the MC who makes it worth while watching it.

Great series, absolutely beautiful art, but trope-wise, the beats feel the same. Maybe they were fresh back then? Of course they weren't. In The Illiad (or The Odyssey), a tale from ~2000 years ago, you had the simp subby men. "Oh, blindfold me, tie me to this pole, because that girl is too pretty!". That too recent? How about Adam and Eve? It's been a story beat/trope since the dawn of time.

@@AnimeCritical Yes. Only Aqua, whose stats are perfect because she's a goddess, does not improve upon level-up. Well, "yes" is conditional. Levelling up stats, from what I understand, takes level-up points which can also be put into skills, so there's a balance factor involved, and the higher they are, the more it takes, so there's diminishing returns, but it improves your baseline, to let you eventually change classes to advanced classes.

This causes Aqua to leave the party in frustration but Kazuma discovers an exploit that makes his versatility skyrocket: his skill points and earned abilities didn't reset even though his level did. As of the end of the story, Kazuma is at such a high level that "no monster should be able to kill him" according to Eris.

Kazuma already said that he only longs for Darkness´ body but is deterred by her personality. As well as the fact that he also said he looks for a calm warm-hearted girl. That goes for the obviously not available goddess Eris as well as for Megumin - as long as the matter EXPLOSION is not issued. We had not personal interaction between Kazuma and the apparently normal Chris so far - so we can´t say if she or any other girls in the future might attract his attention. So atm shipping the Kazuma x Megumin thing is absolutely on the table.

Well he dont hate megumins explosions and on the right ocasions he does really like them. Its that megumin does not know, when not to let her chunybo out and start a random explosion on the first thing she sees (like the mountain in this episode, after kazuma just says his decision cant be changed like this mountain). Outside of that he does like megumin the most and thats also why he kinda is more forgiving with her shenanigans then with darkness or aquas. And for darkness i think that kazuma statement is directed at her masochist side. I think he is fine with the "normal" lalatina, but not that much with her pervy side

Tranquility girl monsters are physically weak in comparison to adventurers who have high base stats due to their leveling up, so she couldn’t attack them. Only regular people are vulnerable to being attacked by them. Tranquility girl monsters instead use their cuteness and pheromones that evoke sympathy, plus that act they develop, to keep from being killed by leveled adventurers so they can feed on weaker people, as well as adventurers who feel such sympathy for the Tranquility girl that they just stay there doting on the monster until they eventually starve to the point that they’re too weak to stop the monster from feeding on them. As to why Darkness didn’t want Kazuma and gang to meet Iris, the princess, just think about how Kazuma and gang act normally. She doesn’t want to expose the princess to that behavior both for fear of Kazuma and gang getting persecuted/executed for disrespect, as well as fear that Kazuma and gang will corrupt the princess. Darkness’ family is really close to the royal family so she’s protective of the princess.
