EXACTLY! No way in hell Dev would have had the chance to star in a role he liked if he didn't create the story concept, write the screenplay, and director it. Jordan Peele backing him up shows the potential of this film. Honestly, when people think action star they don't usually think Dev Patel who is given more of the dramatic or awkward characters. He's a great actor, action / thriller leading roles is a great new area for him to explore.

It gives me a vibe of slumdog + John wick+ rrr. It looks incredibly good to me. I loved slumdog millionaire and this movie reminds me of that but done better. And parallels between hanuman and the way they have portrayed India, I love it! I am excited to watch it, no movie excites me anymore so I am happy this is coming out. It has heart and the was this directed, I love it. I am sure I will love the movie. I generally see some flaws in trailers, I didn’t see any in this makes me sure I will not be disappointed by the movie. And I have loved all the other movies dev has done, always original content. Dev Patel is a good actor but the trailer is a mixed bag. There's promise in a modern take on Hanuman but the action looks incomplete and actually bad.No catchy dialogues and Hanuman ji's face even as masks is the kindest with strength which isn't really visible here.The 'Here are the indians in a Hollywood movie 'bgm is irritating and it's time we got rid of that.Hopefully Dev as a director will be halfway decent but because he is technically a foreigner dont know how good the content about Hanuman ji will be until the movie is released.

The movie seems ok but I highly criticise the use of Saffron Triangle flags to represent "bad side" also the villain is shown wearing a Pearl Rudraksh mala which are worn usually by saints, this colour and this shape of flag plays a critical role in our faith and lifestyle and we can't take made narratives around it
