When I worked for Dealer Specialties in Tulsa, then Vegas to keep from overheating on the lots we used a small devicce that fit around your neck and cooled your core temp down many degrees. All my employees and i loved them. Also, mix half a gatorade with a clear pedeolite and freeze it. As you walk the lot, it melts and stays cold.

G'day Mike, love your work. Being an Aussie I couldn't help but notice a Chevy SS aka Holden Commodore SS beside the old blue Mercedes-Benz. Should check it out if it's still there next time.

OK Mike, The Blue and White Merc is a sign. Seeing the car tells me you need to take it home and put it on the channel! I have seen every video that its appeared in and I can clearly hear it calling your name. “Mike, Mike, Buy me!”

Always fun to watch these, thanks for another great video Mike. If I had any skill or interest whatsoever in fixing cars, I would really wish there was something similar to these places here in (my parts of?) Sweden. I really need to replace my old VW Passat that's electronically falling apart

Well hell Mike, I changed my mind. Out of the cars today my friend, I think the Jag would be the #1 best bet to park behind the house next to the Wagon! I am going to say, as a 50 year old guy, I love it so its not an old man car!!!!!

That Flex is a quick fix and flip all day. The old Mercedes is begging for some love. I love Jags. An 80's XJ series in British Racing Green with the wire wheels and a creamy tan interior with wood trim is a dream car...but unless I have an LS to swap in already no deal lol. It'll be the prettiest lawn ornament I've ever owned. I stay away from modern German. Don't have that kind of parts budget.

Thank you for braving the heat, but please be careful . Maybe travel up here to Long Island where it is not so hot. We do have a Copart in Brookhaven, NY. I love the Ford Flex.

Mike, I take the jag above the audi , no problems. These old-time jags are well built. Most problems came when Jaguar started buying engines from Renault group. They just did not fit the chasis. Audi, however, always getting problems at 100k km. Most first owners getting a new audi at 100k and pass it on.

The Flex is just an Exploder... Explorer. They are harder to find used body parts for because they were not as common. Sadly my niece (who is always hitting things) has one and we struggle to keep it looking like it's not falling apart.

A 2002 xk should be 4.2 which didn't have nicosil or plastic chain guides. Even if 4.0 these were sorted by 2002

Don't forget the Flex has the 3.5 ltr engine with the internal water pump. If that pump hasn't been changed after 208k miles then I would be very nervous. That's about a $1700 water pump job and at 208k you would probably need to throw new timing chains on it too. Very hard car to buy if you don't know the mechanical history.

WD40 doesn't work well on hinges. Use Lock dry lube. I use it on the squeeky doors in my apartment, and it lasts a long time. I love listening to people complain about the heat back there when it reaches 100. It was 118 here today, and the humidity was 4%. UV index was 10 on a scale of 0 to 10. I was out in it several hours this afternoon. Good tanning weather. 😂😅😂😅😂 When are you going to get a truck Mike? 😊

I am from the Netherlands and over here Mercedes, Audi and BMW are the cars you drive if you have some money 😉 Or a boss who gives you a car of the company. I drive a car you probably dont have in the VS. "Renault" ever heard of that brand Mike? Well enjoy the weather and thanks for the upload Mike!

French automaker Renault has made several attempts to enter the US car market. All have pretty much failed, the US market is pretty competitive.
@C.M.S.recordingsstudio6 ай бұрын
@@stevemccooleq i always wondered why you don't have them over there. Just like Citroën and Peugeot those are pretty successful here in the Netherlands. My Renault Clio mk2 is 20 years old it's a hobby project but with his 1.4 16v engine it's not a fast car.. but it's so much fun to drive. And after a year or 2 of working on it's a neckbraker everybody loves the look I gave it.

@@C.M.S.recordingsstudio When it comes to the smaller cars (and even some larger ones) the Asian brands are the popular selling ones here. Even much more than our own American brands. Toyotas & Hyundais are everywhere.
@C.M.S.recordingsstudio6 ай бұрын
@@stevemccooleq I see them a lot on youtube I also follow Randy and on his channel it's the same. in Europe it's 50/50 but there is a run on small used cars over here. Citroën en Peugeot use the same model only the type and brand change but the car is the same. Only Renault makes there own small models. I almost forgot Opel but that's the same as Vauxhall and I believe chevrolet.
