I teach at Northern Arizona University. Lotta my students are undocumented/from the res. 2025 is gonna be a hard year, no doubt. Best I can do is be kind, take their issues seriously, be with them when the world is falling apart.

That Turbo Depths match, gotta remember the additional text on shadowspear. Bring in all the fatal pushes and lean into getting spear out imo.

That's an interesting approach. I'm not sure if it is correct or not, as that is quite mana intensive, but it wasn't on my radar as an approach to the matchup even though I know the interaction.

Phil, how do you feel about the "1 copy" rule being added to Modern? Good idea or bad? Wouldn't it allow things like Hogaak and other banned cards still be played but balanced? I'd love to hear your thoughts +

Generally speaking, I don't think "Restricted" is a good fit for any format besides Vintage.

When I saw mana pips for permanents in this deck I would love to see one copy of Merchant of Asphodel to finish opponent with life loss. Seems like easy thing in this deck :)

Is that better (on average) than something like Sheoldred or Helm? I'm not sure that it is, and it is sub-optimal with Beseech the Mirror as a major part of the deck.
