in game 1 I would have attacked with the hypnotic specter even losing it to the deserts, 1 card at random discard would be worth it

Question: if I have a mirror universe and a lord of the pit. I don't sack a creature in my upkeep which puts me at 0. Can I then switch life to put the opponent on 0 before I lose?

No, in between resolving the lifetotal is checked. Back in the day this was possible

You couldn’t use rocket launcher yet in that first game timmy. It’s got summoning sickness. Sort of. You have to have controlled it since the beginning of your turn. Damn old artifacts and their badly worded rules.
