Playing mono green in 93/94 is like playing on the hard difficulty. :) Yet each color had a chance in that tournament! I liked it a lot, it really played like the way Magic was intended.

One of my favorite cards back in the day was Unsummon. I never see it played anymore.

@@TimmytheSorcerer Yes t1 hippies exactly. I recall a game I was playing against the owner of the store. I dropped an island and said go. He dropped a taiga followed by an emerald a lotus. He cast ball lightning attacks then giant growth and berserk. I looked him straight in the eyes, smiled as i slowly tapped my little island and sent the ball lightning back to his hand. It was so epic....and he was so mad...lol.

Yeah, this was a tough match up for Mono Green. I think Blue is just too strong for Mono Green. Blue has answers, card draw, evasive threats and Control Magic is so powerful!

The interesting things is that mono green decks have been doing super good in regular OS tournaments. Obviously a mono coloured tournament is a different setting. I wonder if we'll end up with 2 blue decks in the final?

Yep, they seem pretty dominant. Fun fact, there are hardly any mono blue decks in the os tournaments 🤷‍♂️

@@TimmytheSorcerer we had a revised only tournament in college it I think half the field was mono black.

Every hardcore player in 1994 in my college had a mono blue deck and it was typically the most feared deck to play against.
