Why is 1998 one of the last good years? What was so good about those years?
@vrekman2562 ай бұрын
@@juandager5220 Well, I was 20 y.o. back then. There was practically no internet unless you were a geek, mobiles had buttons, MTV was playing all the new stuff and men were honest. This song was playing in cafeterias and clubs all the time and reminds me of the years of no duties and obligations. The years of true fun and entertainment, the years of true communication among humans, away from today's economic failures, away from the empty, dead, and pointless social media hell that isolates everyone. You had to be there!
@juandager52202 ай бұрын
@@vrekman256 Thanks for your words. I wasn't 20. But I remember and miss 98. There was a good balance of analog and digital. Nowadays everything feels too synthetic. (Are you even human?) There's always good and bad men. Do you believe men became more dishonest with time? How so? I agree with you. However, nostalgia makes us cherry pick. Not everything was better. It couldn't be all perfect, right? I really love this song and the movie. When people would kiss at a water fountain in a park. Today, everyone would be swiping instead of noticing that the girl you liked is out there. (But let's not rant about technology.) Anyways, I'd enjoy hearing more from you. Someday I'll write stories about the 90s...
@@juandager5220 perfect... no. Most of the things that matter were better, imo. Mostly communication among us, quality in entertainment, food, free time. Much better economy wise too.. These days... Every other day I see people try to scan me on the phone or online. I mean, there are always crooks everywhere, but the good guys were more than the bad ones back in the day. Anyway, I think I'm getting older. I'm turning into granpa!

I came back to it today after being introduced to a group by my teenage son and thought I'd share it.
