7:54 the ability also allows you to target a creature, so it being no artefact makes no difference. You should have read the card. But also, your creature has protection from permanents which were cast this turn. The creature the enemy has was cast this turn. He should have read the card too. And...the one ring is indestructible. You should have read the card.

I always say, Emrakul isnt actually that strong because so many things Can kill it, like the Balrog almost did. If only they read the card and let it stay for a turn it would have killed the Emrakul easy, but people don't read.

For the ones who are wondering, the Balrog CAN destroy creatures. The issue here is that the Balrog was cast that turn, attacked his haste and died. Since Emrakul has protection from permanents THAT WERE CAST THIS TURN, Balrog could not target her. But thank you Chris, for playing like a dingus and still making fun of your opponent!

"Protection from permanents that *WERE CAST* this turn." It's a small distinction, but it means that it doesn't have protection from tokens, lands, or permanents that were "put" onto the battlefield with an effect like Monster Manual, Brought Back, Second Sunrise, Dance of the Manse, etc.

He wanted to dig 8 cards deep, he could have dug 9 cards deep, he chose to dig 7 cards deep. It wouldn't have made a difference in this game because the next two cards weren't Ugin's Labyrinth either but still a dingus play. Especially when he afterwards says he thought 8 cards was enough while he only dug 7 deep.

Why not just attack into Teferi with Emrakul? No matter how many Teferis he had, you could have removed them before they could do anything while sending Idol to face. Slower win but better if he doesn't misplay.

Holy shit i had to downvotw this video because of the attitude of the guy. Saying read the card while simultaneously not reading the card is such a douche move. "Oh he thinks this is an artifact." Balrog kills creatures. "Maybe he'll deatroy my one ring which would be good so I don't lose life" ring is indestructible. Its absolutely infuriating that for reasons you don't understand he was unable to do the thinga you said he would want to do.

So many times he could have just drawn cards with the one ring to still be able to play cards and still have enough to discard at end of turn. Also, you should replace at least some of the Guardian Idols with The Irencrag, it doesn't enter tapped. It's legendary though.
